    Hey gang!

    We now have a dev reply bot on the subreddit.

    Any time a verified dev makes a comment on the subreddit shortly after this post goes live, WCReplyBot will make a sticky comment on the post linking to all the dev replies with brief excerpts of each and set the Wildcard Replied flair on the post, so you can easily find dev replies.

    This was a feature requested by Wildcard (Jen specifically) to help increase transparency on their responses after he saw my DTG team's bot in action over on the Apex sub (the team developed it for /r/DestinyTheGame, but lots of gaming subs asked for it later).

    My tek gen ran out of power accidently and I noticed they do not count as troughs, i might as well be putting the food in a box to spoil.....

    Patching has improved, but Wildcard needs to own up to mistakes better.

    Prime example would be the update then rolling the servers back last night. Countless players lost their accounts, along with their imprinted dinosaurs. Replacing all of that progress with a level 105 shows Wildcard is still having trouble tending to critical issues such as this with the playerbase.

    Also, there should be a backup option for players already. Make it where we can store a backup of our characters only (no items, etc to prevent any exploits).

    In the meantime, believe the team needs to think of a better way to make up for players losing their accounts.

    Crashes on RTX cards - does the lastest fix work?

    Hello guys,

    I'm looking into buying an RTX card.

    Did the latest nvidia driver fix the RTX crashes in ARK? I saw someone here saying it didn't do any difference to his game, so i'm asking anyone with a 20xx card to be so kind and help me out with your answers.

    Old player confused about new kibble

    So I see they reworked but am kinda confused not sure if I'm not getting it right but before lower end stuff typically would have eggs for kibble that was used for bigger and better creatures, now it seems like there really isn't much of a flow? Unless I'm not getting it, seems like creatures want their own eggs or eggs from other similar "tier" creatures? If so it seems to me like early game is gonna be kinda rough to get creatures going

    Just a quick question, if I replace a dino spawn in my server's Ini, would existing tamed versions of that dino still exist/be usable?

    For example, if I replace Giga spawns with Dodos, will a previously tamed Giga still be there after the server is reset?

    Gotta add a new post flair to indicate the presence of Wildcard dev responses, so I'll be stylesheet editing for the first time in a while.

    Tomorrow, we should have a bot that notifies everyone of Wildcard dev replies and links to the specific comments.

    In the spirit of transparency, this was a request from Wildcard after they saw the system my team from DestinyTheGame created in operation on the Apex subreddit.

    I figure y'all won't mind having a better way to find official dev replies on the subreddit, right?

    After getting over 20 mid-tier dinos and over 100 hours of gameplay wiped by two managarmrs, would anyone be kind enough to teach me some ways to counter them in the future?

    I know that there is the common counter known as "cry to shitty devs about the most obnoxious and OP creature ever released to the game", but since Wildcard just wants to make more money of Extinction sales, this doesn't seem to bear fruit. I and my small tribe have lots of time in our hands having recently finished school, but seems like every single progress we make is wiped within 24 hours, mainly by manas.

    So besides the aforementioned, are there any other ways of countering them, or will I simply have to eternally suffer in case I find the motivation to continue playing? What have you guys done to prevent them from destroying you?

    All dino special abilities?

    I seen a post recently saying that the equus could carry sand at a reduced weight. Just wanted to see if there are any other dinos with special abilities that barely anyone knows about. I know the anky and doed have a weight reduction buff and a few other dinos.

    Switching to PC version

    Okay, so I've been enjoying the game for the past few weeks on PlayStation, and I wanted to buy the game on Steam as well so I can play with a couple of friends who don't have a PlayStation. Does anyone know if the PC version of the game has native controller support that matches the console version? I just prefer the controller layout on this game and I wouldn't enjoy this specifically on keyboard and mouse. Thanks :)

    Bug - Xbox official - vault shows 350/350 when looking at it but the inventory screen shows 316/350 with 34 open slots. Can't place anything more in it.

    I joined an unofficial server and made a tribe with 9 other friends. We soon became a threat for the alphas so they wiped us. No problem. We start again and eventually raid the alphas and the betas the same day. They go with the admin and cry (I dony know what they told him) and he did a full server wipe. Its so frustrating to have invested so much effort into a server to have it wiped like that for no reason. Is there a way to report this shitty admin so his server gets taken down or something?

    Wildcard's Incompetence Wiped Our Tribe

    We play on Official Small Tribes. Like much of the player base we were affected by yesterday's character deletion and rollbacks. All of the members of our tribe had their character deleted. Our server was also rolled back 2 real life days. We had just finished building our new base and moving all of our assets over into it. The rollback put us back into the middle of this transition with very minimal defenses up. We spent the last two days grinding out to get all of our defenses up and running, but the 2 day rollback eliminated all of that. We also had no way of logging into our tribe since all of our characters were deleted. So we had no way of defending our base or even a way of putting defenses up.

    Today our base was wiped. We lost months' worth of work and assets with literally no way of doing anything about it. People unaffected by the negative results of this patch are free to transfer from server to server wiping out any tribe that is unable to even login to their characters. The repercussions of this massive mistake are particularly dire to players on Small Tribes.

    There is no way to sugar coat this, but whoever is responsible for the loss of the production data (characters, server save states) should be fired. I have never witnessed such a blatant disregard for standard operating procedures in handling production data. At the very least thousands of characters were deleted and tens of thousands of hours of collective progress wiped out in an instant because a group of developers working for a major development studio have no idea how a basic software development lifecycle works. It is crystal clear that no testing of any kind was performed before pushing out this update. They had absolutely no plan for a backout if the update failed or produced unexpected results. (What would be the expected results if you don't perform any testing?). They still have even yet to respond to any of our tickets to restore our characters or address the server rollback.

    How do you expect people to play a progression based game when absolutely no effort is put into preserving progression (or even characters)?
