What happened to the Switch version? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 08:39 AM PDT Hello, after a decent amount of research over the past few months, it's been made abundantly clear that something fishy is going on at Wildcard in relation to the Switch port. According to this article: https://www.gonintendo.com/stories/328639-the-team-who-ported-ark-survival-evolved-to-switch-wants-to-fix Abstraction Games (The studio responsible for the port) has reached out to Wildcard numerous times over the past month and gotten no response back. On top of that, they've been working hard on fixing the graphical issues and other bugs with the game but literally are unable to make any of these changes because wildcard will not allow them to. They aren't giving them the support or funding that is required in order to fix the switch version. I want to know the full story, so can someone from wildcard respond to this? Cryo pods are starving dinos (official) Posted: 07 Apr 2019 03:43 AM PDT Was notified via several discord channels that some Dino's are starving within cryo fridges on official servers. Checked it myself and had to recryo almost an entire fridge worth of creatures. (Again, official). You can easily check which ones are starving by mousing over the pod and checking if the stats come up. If stats do not appear, you will have to recryo the dino and probly feed it. The pod's tool tip will just say "can be recharged at cryofridge" where the stats should be. Posted: 07 Apr 2019 10:48 AM PDT As I was slowly, slowly moving a flock of a dozen Ovis from one location to another, I remembered the pack saddles on donkeys that shepherds use to move lambs from one place to another. Now I realize you can either use a platform saddle or carry critters using certain tames, but what about transporting a number of them efficiently without having to go through the trouble of constructing a platform saddle pen that might drop some critters as you move? Instead you can use like a Diplodocus saddle and select critters Ovis size or smaller in a menu similar to the Procoptodon. The Diplo saddle has so many slots (maybe 10) and each critter you select goes in a slot. You could pretty easily add on an animation that puts the critters in a harness or bag on each spot where a player sits. [link] [comments] | ||

UE4 Shooter Game crash version 294.101 Posted: 07 Apr 2019 04:46 AM PDT Hello lads! So I've just aquired the last DLC and when I was trying to load a map the game just keeps crashing. Ever since I tried to Google it and although it was a well discussed topic a couple a months ago with a few fixes such as Verifying The Integrity on Steam and deleting mods and so on... Basically I went as far as a complete re-installation and I've got the same crash. Any wise tip would be much appreciated [link] [comments] | ||

Tames won't eat until you leave render - What causes this? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 09:01 AM PDT We've been dealing with this for a few years but in recent weeks it has gotten much worse. Just about everyone on my cluster is complaining about how they have to leave render to get a tame to eat. I'm curious what exacerbates this task delay. Can't find anything concrete on it. Raft building without the slow-run effect Posted: 07 Apr 2019 08:46 AM PDT Not sure what causes your char to slow-jitter run on rafts after you build on them, but it's annoying as heck. Anyone have any ways to avoid this? I've tried a couple of things - pillaring up and building on ceilings above the raft seems to help, but obviously that makes the raft really tall and difficult to see over when driving. Posted: 07 Apr 2019 06:35 AM PDT Just some suggestions to consider would make TEK Storage more useful and practical to use. Really hoping they get implemented as tek storage is kinda bad for most storage.
2. Secure storage rather than accessable for everyone: Locked storage so it is unable to be accessed by enemy players(the replicator cannot be locked for some reason aswell so thats a possible suggestion as well. 3. Tek Storage able to withdraw resources from other Tek Storages assigned with the same resource: This would allow the storage to be useful for metal smelting as you could put a box by every forge. Example: Both Tek box A and B have hide assigned. You could take directly from Tek box A and then have an option to collect more hide from tek box B without having to travel to tek box B.
Its not game breaking to fix and reduces the incentive to use tek storage which is supposed to be better.
Any other suggestions post in comments so maybe we can improve the use of this storage. [link] [comments] | ||

Along with other things such as chairs still. That way players do not have to worry about putting down defenses in the mesh again meshers and people can focus on the game and less on defending from mesh. [link] [comments] | ||

I want to build a couple death walls of turrets to block would be raiders. What is the best design for this? I have solid walls up right now.
