    I'd like to preempt this entire thing by saying it's my favorite map. The idea behind it was awesome. A harsher, more difficult map with it's own unique Dino's and tames.

    With that said all Scorched Earth is good for these days is dino storage. I know nothing will be done to Scorched Earth as it's a "finished product" but I really just want to vent.

    The only thing truly left that makes Scorched Earth unique is a pheonix. A trophy tame that has no unique function(other than melting metal) and a horrible taming method. A method that forces you to to wait around for hours if not days hoping a heatwave weather event pops much less having to find one on the map with only 5 minutes to do so.

    Wyverns, golems, camels, Jerboas, deathworms, mantis, oil and water bugs, the manticore, oil Wells are all things that made Scorched Earth a uniquely positive reason to play.

    The only thing unique to Scorched Earth now are nothing but negative experiences that make 99% of people not want to have anything to do with the map.

    Generator decay, sandstorms, lighting storms, faster decay timers, no Ascension, no underground exploration, 3 caves that can be run on foot in a matter of 2 minutes, lowest access to rare flowers and black pearls, smallest map, no alpha tier dinosaurs, missing tons of Dino's(ptera, trike, stego, phiomia, giga's(I mean giga's spawn in desert area on rag ffs)etc etc), still have broke game mechanics as well like still not being able to attach water pipes to water Wells. Water drain from canteens and water jars. No auto shutoff of generators if attached to windmills when wind is restored to pwr the mill. A wyvern scar that has around 50 nest alcoves but only 8 to 9 of those that have EVER spawned nests. Bug when teleporting back to the map after manticore fight that turns 75% of ground and mountain textures to this shiny, low res glossy texture that can only be fixed with a exit if the game. Etc etc You get the idea.

    Bottom line is the map needs an overhaul, will it ever happen, no probably not. But as one of the few players that makes this map thier home base and actually defended the devs for releasing this dlc during early access it pisses me off to see the things that actually made this map unique being gutted and made available for free on other modded maps that have non of the negative side effects of Scorched Earth.

    Edit: There are currently way more reasons to stay away from this map than there are to play them. I would think being a source of income for WC they would do something about this, as it stands now it's just a map to pad(make season pass more appealing due to content) content for the season pass.

    Valguero Boss!?!

    What kind of rhino stats am I looking at needing for the boss battle on valguero. People keep telling me to use rhinos but I've only ever used rexs... if I can do it with rhinos I'll take that anyday. Alot easier to raise that's for sure.

    Ark is a lot like meth in that sense. Anyways I am a returning player obviously, played on and off since 2015. I was hoping someone that is up with the times so to speak might answer a few questions for me.

    Is there anywhere i can see a list of big changes? By this i mean things like; Did s+ ever get integrated into the game, New dino additions, core mechanic changes. I don't need to know things like narcos torp decresed 0.2 for instance.

    Does transferring via obelisk work differently now? I left around the time Ragnarok was added, at that time it was pretty fucky and buggy you were liable to lose your shit at any time.

    100 turret limit?

    Any other comments would be appreciated if anyone thinks of anything that might be worth mentioning.

    Ark Eternal and Gaia

    I was wandering if anyone has run a server running both Ark Eternal and Gaia. I put a server together for a few friends to expand content after we completed Valguero. The two major mods I'm running is Ark Eternal and Gaia. After playing for a few days its very apparent that eternal dinos way out class the gaia ones. Gaia offers modifiers to adjust stats for their dinos, so im hoping to be able to leverage that to keep the gaia dinos viable.

    Has anyone run these mods and adjusted the gaia stats to help even the playing field? If so, what settings did you wind up using?

    For reference here are the gaia settings I'm referring to:

    Graphics commands list - need help finding/building a complete list

    I've been searching for a complete list of the graphics commands that can be used, specifically to improve the quality for xbox.

    Snow cave after cryo pods

    Now that cryo pods can be made on every map we can use them on the island. I'm currently soloing every map and all I have left on the island is alpha dragon obviously I need to do snow cave for that

    Have people found a way to do it now that we can use cryo pods? I was thinking about bringing a trio of allosaurus or 1-2 Thylas in there

    Recently been looking into launching a RP project on PC unofficial. What is missing from the RP community that the player base is longing for?

    Do race/class systems, professions, and modded skins for armor/structures matter to you? Or are there other server settings you find more important?

    Do NPC traders add to your player experience or would you prefer to strictly trade with other players? And as an addition to this question, if strictly player trading is the model what are your opinions on harvest rates?

    What rules do you look for when searching for a place to call home? Do you look for posted active hours for the server?

    Honestly anything that you can think of. I want to hear from the community in hopes of crafting a great RP experience for the community.

    Best Dlc?

    So this question may of been asked many times but i myself want to know whats the best dlc to buy because i hear different things, im a PVE player and i just kinda enjoy just taming and building stuff while my friends go off and do other stuff, i like the look of extinction and others but wanna make sure i go to a map ill enjoy and be good for building and designing a big base and all that

    Bug: The ice wyverns on Valguero are not real ice wyverns.

    They cannot be transferred off map, and their cryopod shows a raptor icon when podded. This also goes for non native eggs that are transferred and hatched on map.

    Aurora borealis missing from Valguero for weeks

    This is a weird one. When Val dropped we were all stunned by the display of auroras and thinking back, it's definitely one of the most defining features of the map. After the first week of Val our auroras disappeared entirely. This has been verified by a server of 40 active people. Many of us have truesky enabled.

    Rainbows still work fine. I've been scratching my head over this for weeks. I figured maybe the day/night cycle settings were the culprit, but both are set to their default settings on this server. The only other possible explanation is running the commands cheat ce TestNorthernLights and cheat ce NorthernLights as this was the last time we saw the auroras. It's possible these commands bugged out the server which is concerning as these commands are public so the issue could strike for someone else.

    I've reported this on the Val discord but haven't gotten much of a response. I've also reported this to WC by filling out a bug report form. If anyone is willing to test this that'd be appreciated as the map just isn't the same.

    Xbox servers need wipe

    Duping has been rampant on Xbox servers for some time now and with the methods being public, there are way too many duped items out there. Everyone is just throwing max meks at one another and it's playing like dedis. Game is dead on console if it doesn't get fixed pretty soon.

    how common are leeds attacks?

    i got a base im storing some dinos in(no cyropods). since i cant plow it into rocks, im thinking of just taking it out near the world border.

    how common are leeds attacks? are they everywhere? ive experienced them a couple times but i still dont know how numerous they are. what are the odds of a leeds attack if i drive my raft straight towards the world border, logging off, and checking on it in a couple days?

    [BUG] Enforcers still take full damage from corrupted Creatures.

    Enforcers were supposed to receive 60% less damage from corrupted dinos in patch v287.110, but it doesn't work and they still take full damage. Fixing this would make enforcers much more viable and worth making!

    Breeding Question

    Hi everyone, I watched /u/syntac breeding video and started breeding 2 high level velonasaurs F 288 and M 264. the 3rd egg I hatched was a perfect female level 307 with all the best stats between the parents, I kept breeding the parents as I was told to get a Male. I got a 294 Male with the parents H,S,M and W the only stat that's not the same as the 307 is oxygen (I know its a useless stat). If I start breeding the 307 and 294, will the lower oxygen stat effect the other stats when a baby hatches or will the H,S,M,W stay the same? Should I try for the 307 M? I play on a boosted server so breeding is not such a hassle.

    Extinction DLC Ruined Official PvP. Change my mind.

    It's pretty simple, talk to any official PvP'er and they will say the game was better before extinction. Almost everything that has come out of that map (EXCLUDING CRYO PODS) has had a negative impact on the game, in terms of PvP.

    1. The most obvious one, Manas. Now they aren't broken anymore but they pretty much ruined all PvP in the game for 2-3 months. Not much more to say about them, they were possibly the most broken dino ever added.
    2. Meks. Meks on release were extremely broken but that got nerfed quickly, still im not sure they even tested the damn thing before they released it. But now meks are slightly more balanced. The mek shield is the issue though. Remove the mek shield and nerf the damage to dinos and players these things do. The purpose of a mek should be to counter the spam meta, nothing more.
    3. Titans. One could write a whole essay on titans and how they have affected the game, but ill keep it short. All 3 of them are toxic to game play, the only purpose titans should have in this game is to do the useless extinction boss fight and that's it. You shouldn't be able to upload them, they shouldn't do damage to structures and they shouldn't have CC abilities like the grab of the tree titan.
    4. Snow owls. Yes it's very balanced that an owl can freeze a giga. GJ wildcard. Snow Owls shouldn't be able to freeze everything in the damn game and there should be a cool down and something that was just frozen. They are pretty much the only flyer used in PvP now unless you're on a tek tape. Limit what they can freeze and add a CDR to the freeze.
    5. Gacha. When you look at the gacha at face value it seems fine. But the gacha makes it so easy to get element that there is no longer a grind of boss fights to fill tek turrets. Tribes should be rewarded with farming boss fights for element, not watching some mutated bear looking thing shit out a crystal. So unless you enjoy soaking tek turrets which I don't think anyone does, this is not a positive thing for the game. Only thing I would change about the gachas is the amount of element they produce.
    6. Gasbags, or what devs told us would be the replacement for bodybags HAha. Except no one uses them for that and they are used to soak now, so very good design for that creature wildcard, A+.
    7. Velos, velos aren't unbalanced. The problem with these guys is that if u have more then 10 in a small area you get 5 fps for no reason at all. Another great job from wildcard. Here's an example from Muntages latest video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_1j1TTvTe4&feature=youtu.be&t=841
    8. Element Dust, unbalanced. Before extinction you had to some how get element on the enemies server by either running boss fights or griefing something and hiding the element till raid time. But don't worry cause now I can just port over a 1k element worth of dust, no problemo. Not that anyone actually fobs anymore cause 90% of official bases are in a cave, but that's a different conversation. This goes back to the gacha comment of gachas producing to much element. I think its a good idea to be able to port element to someone else's server but it should be capped at a certain amount and dust should be harder to obtain.

    Id say 80% of the things that came out of this DLC made the game worse for PvP. Now I know PvE players are gonna say that not everything should be balanced towards PvP but the changes I suggested above wouldn't affect PvE in the slightest. Id be totally fine if they deleted extinction and gave me cryo fridges and cryopods, id go back and pay for the DLC just for those two things.
