Best way to experience ARK? Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:05 AM PDT Hey, so I'm quite a new player (PC), and I've been playing on a friend's unofficial server with very high rates, this is the only rates I experienced. The server is not very alive, it is me and 2 more guys in 1 tribe, and then 2 people playing solo. on Ragnarok map. I have all the dlcs and took much interest into them, especially Aberration, and also into tek buildings and equipment, which I already achieved. I feel that the server is quite dead, and there's not much exploration to be done in Ragnarok, I achieved tek but it's all very easy with high rates, but I did invest about 300 hours in this server already. So my question is, what would be the best way to experience ARK? I feel it hard to say goodbye to my 20+ tek rex which I breed, my rock drakes (the friend have a cluster of 2 servers, 1 is main ragnarok and the second is changeable by request) and more, but I do want to feel like im really playing the game and not just sandboxing through all of the content with no other players around. but also, I do want it possible for me to achieve some tek without spending years of work to be able to beat only a gamma boss... that's why I'm kind of afraid of official servers, extremely lower rates than I already know, and of course, pvp, I heard that people could be either nice or very douchy and destroy everything you got.. (+ if we'll be moving a server, I might get to bring 2 or 4 friends to be in a tribe) (rates in the current cluster are 5x EXP, 15x taming, 9x gathering, 25x breeding, tamed dino stats are also increased in insane ways, and some mods added, here's the server just for the explaining of it http://ragnabean.arkers.io/ ) What is your honest opinion? submitted by /u/VeryImportantIsay [link] [comments]

Unpopular opinion : I prefer conquest mode season 2 instead. Posted: 22 Aug 2019 09:57 AM PDT I honestly had more fun during conquest, not only that the mode had more pvp than classic mode did, if Snail games brings it back, i would just disable cave building and reduce tribe size to 10/15, even disable titan downloads for a few months. submitted by /u/MrDolphin001 [link] [comments]
