Lost 400 Hours of Progress

So I've been playing Ark since it first came to early access on Xbox, mostly single player. I would stop for a few months but then a new map would come out and I'd get sucked back on. With the release of Valguero I decided to create a final base. Somewhere I would have all my tames, resources, equipment, and blueprints in one spot. It was quite the undertaking but I successfully transferred 90% of all my ark playing into one spot.

Last night I get on to play and the game prompts me to make a new character. After trying in vain to locate where my character could be (I thought maybe somehow it had transferred to another one of my maps) I give up and create a new one. I go back to my "base" and it is gone. Completely wiped from the map. No more Reaper King, no more Rock Drake, no more Wyverns or imprinted Rex army or the countless resources I'd gathered. Nearly everything I've been doing in the game for the last four years wiped away without an explanation. I've had game glitches in the past but this one takes the cake.

Summary: 400 hours worth of playtime in ark was wiped out by an unknown error. Resetting my map and character back to nothing.
