Playing Ark with Xbox One controller. Posted: 06 Feb 2020 11:31 AM PST Hey guys, I've played Ark for a few years now, first on PS4, Then Xbox One X and recently I bought myself a decent gaming laptop. I'd like to play Ark with some mods, new maps, Dino's etc... Which is why Im trying to play on PC. Anyways the trouble is I just can't get used to Keyboard and Mouse. Xbox Gamepad just seems so much easier for me. So I've set up the Xbox One controller with steam and it works mostly fine with Ark, however some commands just don't work, they don't seem to be mapped correctly like they would be on the Xbox One version of the game. Things like Dino commands and whistles just don't seem to be possible because they require a combination of buttons. Has anyone any advice on how to get the controller working exactly like how it would on the Xbox? submitted by /u/smecky [link] [comments]

Ark upload slots. max isnt 100? Posted: 06 Feb 2020 01:38 AM PST so im uploading a bunch of stuff, and after 28 items, it says "maximum items reached". but the transmitter says the max item slots are 100. did the game "remember" other things i had uploaded, but forgot to download and lost? is there a way to clear this slot cap of 28? submitted by /u/PapadocRS [link] [comments]

Buff Offline defences? Posted: 06 Feb 2020 08:53 AM PST Is there a reason why official hasnt taken notes from the most popular unofficial servers in the game that do 3x turret damage/structure resistance while offline? It seems like a thing that should of been in the actual game a long time ago. Single player The Island map. Wild Dino lever isn’t setting properly. Help? Posted: 06 Feb 2020 08:30 AM PST Generated the map and spawned in the first time to get the ini's to generate. Closed the client. Opened the GameUserSettings.ini for the single player. Added OverrideOfficialDifficulty=7.5 to the server settings area. (Note, I'm targeting wild level 225 animals) Log back in cheat destroywilddinos wait for respawns Animals seem to be maxing out around 140ish. Texture Loading Issues Posted: 06 Feb 2020 03:16 AM PST https://imgur.com/a/BeWuJNT Specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9 9900K (8-Core/16-Thread, 16MB Cache, Overclocked up to 4.7GHz across all cores) 32GB Dual Channel HyperX(FM) FURY DDR4 XMP at 2933MHz 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti OC with 11GB GDDR6 Nitrado Server - W10 Play Anywhere version of Ark ​ OK, those are my specs and settings in both Ark and NVIDIA Control Panel, as is hopefully visible in the images, I'm having issues with Dinos not loading in particularly quickly, or just plain dropping to the low quality texture after only moving a few meters away. In addition to that, the moment I open my character menu, all the textures behind it immediately become low quality. If I may, a few questions regarding game mods. Posted: 05 Feb 2020 02:42 PM PST So after a year, I finally finished The Island, all three levels of bosses. It was a lot of learning and a lot of frustration, but I finally did it. Very much enjoyed the experience. ​ I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for a modded playthru for me. I know about the super popular mods like Structures+, and the like. What are "Rich Dust" nodes on the resource map for Ark Extinction? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:44 PM PST On the Ark Resource Map for Extinction (https://ark.gamepedia.com/Resource_Map_(Extinction))), there are 5 pink dots labeled "Rich Dust" What are these referring to? I went to these locations and could not find anything to harvest. At first I thought they referred to lamp posts or some such, but I would expect there to be many more than 5.
