    Question about the new map and how they will be handling transfers

    For smalls for instance, will it be handled just like how valg was? Such as you can port character in but no tames or items or will be we not even be able to port a character in?

    How was it handled with Extinction and Ab? has it always been the same grace period and rules of transfering?

    PSA: Don't pick up dinos with a Quetz (and maybe other flyers)

    Ever ridden a dino that your tribemate picks up? You know how sometimes you drop below the ground when they first pick you up? This usually results in the dinos (and you) being immediately dropped (above ground).

    But with a quetz, you get pushed further down. Last night this meant I was instantly killed by the anti-meshing system, along with our doed. I was (foolishly, now I know) carrying a cryopod with another important dino in it. All gone in an instant from standard gameplay.

    I posted in the anti-meshing false positives as well, but I think people need to know that this standard gameplay can result in your immediate loss of character, items, and your resource dino. In that thread people mention the same thing happening with at least pteranodons as well (I didn't read all the posts, so it may be any flyer).

    Fly at your own risk, which is essentially what support will tell you if you file a ticket about this.

    [PS4] So I got cool mutated argy on one user and need to transfer it to another user, but didn't think about the ability to transfer dinos from user to user with the obelisk. Does that mean it just stays there and I can't do anything about? Or is it possible to transfer dinos to other users?

    Okay humans

    here's how this is gonna go.

    Me telling you my experience when I've been wiped for no reason, (maybe the 5 lvl 200 rexes made the alphas mad?) and oh my gods is it annoying.

    One day, in my nice, insulated base hidden near the frozen biome, I am taming a rex, suddenly I get a thing saying a lvl 110 quetzal was killed by your Auto Turret!

    I rush home, thinking "OH GOD OH GOD I'm gonna get wiped!" But when I get there, I see one of the server's alphas.

    Ohhhhhhh shit. I've done something wrong haven't I.

    I walk up and ask him, "Well, am I gonna get wiped now? Did I forget to pay tributes?" in a half terrified, half sad voice. I wrack my brain. I did, didn't I? I gave them at least 300 Oil and 1000 Rare Flowers and Mushrooms, what? I think last week.

    He tells me to turn off the auto turrets, and put my dilos and rexes on passive, assuring me I was not gonna get wiped in the process. He wanted to incur me into the Alpha tribe instead, seeing my great progress.

    Okay, well this should have been the first sign of danger for me. Why would an Alpha ask to turn off my god damn auto turrets (which were my ony defenses at the time besides the Dilos and rexes.) But who asks for someone to completely destroy their defenses out of nowhere?

    "Umm, sure?" I turn them off.

    "Surprise!" yells the Alpha as suddenly out of nowhere, a group of Wyverns come out from behind the mountains and burn my tames, home, and 240 hours of work to dust.

    "See you never!" yelled the Alpha as he flew off on a Snow Owl.

    I run inside the wreckage to find the bodies of my two favorite and cutest tames, my Dodo named Alex and my Otter named Orange. I find them on fire, but alive. (I pumped them with health.)

    I bring them outside and throw them into the water even though the fire almost kills me.

    I look at the burned wreckage of my home and begin crying.

    Are those who wipe bases for no reason happy now?

    You'd better be ready when I come back. I won't let you off easy.

    Just a heads up to Immersive Taming users, certain mod creators are beginning to forcefully disable taming of their creatures.

    Just a PSA to Immersive fans, some mods - particularly Additional Creatures 2 and Pyria AFAIK - have creators that don't like immersive taming and have begun to find ways to circumvent the ability to immersively tame some of their creatures. This may be a pain to immersive-taming-only servers... as me and my friends unfortunately discovered a couple days ago.

    Why some mod creators may feel so nosy that they have to attack completely different mods that they have nothing to do with, not to mention be weirdly controlling to how other people play, is beyond me.

    LMK if this isn't the place to post this, but I thought immersive-taming-only players would like to know this before investing in a world with these mods and then discovering the restrictions the hard way. If you use these mods or don't like how weirdly intrusive this whole thing feels, you may want to reconsider before using these mods, or reach out to the mod authors themselves.
