Whistle commands don’t work on Xbox? Posted: 04 Jun 2020 07:31 PM PDT What am I doing wrong, or is this just useless? I managed to get a tamed triceratops into group one, and from the inventory menu set the group to active. Now, when I hold down b and select 'whistle follow one', it does nothing. He doesn't follow. Also, the left bumper-up dpad command puts the green indicator on the ground for where he should go, and he doesn't go there. Nothing on this b-wheel menu works. Nothing. Any advice? Videos don't help because they tell me things to do that do not work, or are for PC.. Or are too old and have an older (and apparently more reasonable) interface. Please help, I would like to actually enjoy this game. [link] [comments]

Adventure I don’t quite understand.... Posted: 05 Jun 2020 12:52 AM PDT I'm out exploring and harvesting with my Triceratops and two dilophosaurs...and I get knocked out by one of those things that...knocks you out and you can't do anything and everything goes black while stuff chews on you and you die....except... my dino bodyguards are fighting off all kinds of things including two raptors...the kill messages are flying by and I'm just lying there hoping none of my dinos die. I mean, we were ambushed by a LOT of dinos. So, I wake up, everything is cool, my dinos are half dead but recovering rapidly. I on the other hand have nearly no health at all and the edges of the screen are red and my heartbeat is thumping.. I take some of their raw meat and make a campfire and quickly cook it. Meanwhile my health is going down even when I eat — i guess because I'm not in need of food? The icons say I'm hot (they always say that), and I have a broken bone apparently. i drink my water but that doesn't help. I'm slowly moving back toward the beach hoping that will fix the overheated icon...And we are attacked by insects and a herd of small ...dinos? I'm spearing them furiously with my pike and don't let them hit me because one hit would kill me (my health is barely visible). And I don't die. Amazingly. My Dino crew is a bit behind so they catch up...And finally my health begins to slowly start returning. So I'm wondering what can I do to get health back when eating doesn't do it? I tried cooked meat and all kinds of berries. Also, what can I do about those whatever things that knock me unconscious and chew me to death (usually)? Is there an antidote? And if so, how could I use it if I can't move or access my inventory? If I'd been out there without my trusty dino friends, I would've been toast. [link] [comments]
Ark Server for Windows 10 Version (NOT Steam) Posted: 04 Jun 2020 08:34 PM PDT Hello all, I'm having some trouble finding a clear answer. I'm wanting to rent a server for the Windows 10 PC version. I tried hosting one using an Xbox One X and was unsuccessful. Was considering Nitrado, but I'm unsure if I would need to rent a PC server or an Xbox server. TIA [link] [comments]
Joining an unofficial pc session Posted: 04 Jun 2020 05:42 PM PDT Do you just join and start playing? Should you contact whomever is running it or just start doing your thing? I've been playing on a dedicated server with my friends just pve so far but would like to move onto something a little more challenging where I don't have to always be on. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2020 06:11 AM PDT Could someone give me a rundown on the different official server types and what the specs are for each? Obviously PVP and PVE is pretty self explanatory but how do I know what the current rates are/how large tribes can be/etc? Are servers with the same setup always clustered with each other? Further, what do you look for when picking servers and why? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2020 02:30 PM PDT Has anyone noticed a spike in ping on dedicated xbox servers? [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Jun 2020 11:17 AM PDT I play Single Player, I have the Dino count on max. I built my first base on the beach, it was flourishing with dozens of animals all around. They would walk right up to my base while I was crafting or building. I really liked the company. I never killed anything near my base, I got attached to constantly seeing wild Dinos around. However over time they just vanished. I had to travel waaaay far to find any signs of life. Even the fish were hard to come by. It made it really barren and lonely. So I packed up led all my tames to the edge of the Redwoods. When I first found this area, it was full of Rexes and Spinosaurus. It made it really challenging to survive and keep my tames safe, but I loved it. There were beavers everywhere too, not to mention the cute otters. Well, I built my house, but everything vanished again days later. The fish are gone, so are the beavers, otters, Rexes, Spinos, even the nearby swamp is barren!! It's honestly getting boring, is there any way to make more wild Dinos spawn closer to my base? I want that rough survival feeling back. I haven't seen a predator or dangerous dinosaur in real life days! [link] [comments] |
