| Am I the only one that hopes ark 2 starts like ark? Posted: 12 Dec 2020 08:48 AM PST Not to say Idk it isn't a 'dinosaur game' but come on, I loved the island and having a survival game with dinosaurs and SOME magical creatures, extinction? Aberration, and any other dlc isn't bad, but starting with a first normal dinosaur setting is way better and more fun than straight up going to the weird starwars robots genesis 2 is going to have. Anyone same? Like when ark 2 releases it should be as 'nature' as possible, idc/idm the implants, obilisk, whatever, but the game is way more fun and cooler when you actually first start withcreatures that actually are realistic, maybe wyverns too, or golems, and then over the span of few months dlc with crazy stuff like mana's could come, what are your opinions about it? TLDR: ark 2 would be way more fun if the launch map was a dinosaur only or near dinosaur only Map to then have dlc maps Continue with the crazier mythical/robotic creatures. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 11 Dec 2020 03:13 PM PST From my experience with Ark, I very rarely experience any bugs at all and when I do it's something very minor that really doesn't matter at all. I do agree that ark was very buggy in the past but I think wildcard has done a great job at fixing bugs as well as patching exploits. Take meshing for example, it used to be so prevelant but now if you try to go more than 2 meters under the map you instantly die. This is a HUGE improvement. I've also seen a lot of people talking about how it's scummy that wildcard is making a sequel when they haven't even fixed the original yet. I disagree with this, I believe that they have already done the most they could for bug fixing for the original and are now working on remaking the game from the ground up with an insanely better game engine. This will allow them to do way more stuff with the more powerful engine, reducing lag allowing for bigger maps, faster load times, higher harvest rates. I also think that people forget to realize that ark was wildcards first ever game and I believe they did a fantastic job at it. The PC server is balanced with drops so that it can be useful but yet not over the top since my server new I will announce an offline protection period of two weeks, and there will be tek drops but balanced even with stat so there will be ground PVP, and all tek engram unlocked, there are drop and currency and as of more it's a brand new server with also the likey to get a small kit to benefit you to build and enjoy our server as of now we have discord and will be pleased if you join for any further questions discord #UyBMa8WB3J [link] [comments]  | ||
