    Last night I hit lvl 50. I'm playing on the Island and been staying towards the south western part of it. According to the load screen it's (Medium). So I hit lvl 50 and figured I would find a new base nearer more rocks and start a stone and eventually a metal base. I had a tamed Parasaur that I loaded with all my stuff and took it north to find a rise closer to the mountains. I work Northwest up the water and turn into the woods. I'm probably a full minute run with the Dino and get attacked by Raptors. I jump out and shoot a lvl4 raptor with my crossbow twice in the face. It kills me, my Dino, and all my stuff is now deep in the woods. I have a raft that I'd been using to scope out the islands and use a portable base (had a bed on it.). I take the raft up to where I turned into the woods and a Sarco jumps into my raft and kills me. I try to respawn on the boat and quickly get away. The Sarco is still there and eats me again.

    So now I'm back at my wooden base using my primitive tools to mine all my resources all over agin.

    Lesson learned. Next time I go into the woods I'm taking a rifle or shotgun.
