| Posted: 14 Feb 2021 09:15 AM PST So I have a few questions about boss fights. Me and 5 other people play on our private dedicated server on the Island map on PC. We all play together and help each other with everything. We have been playing for about 3 months and we keep everything vanilla settings. 3 of us are actually interested in boss fights so we will probably only have 3 players in a boss fight max. My first question is, when we beat a boss, does everyone that was in the boss fight get the same loot? Boss trophies, engrams, anything else? Second question: Is the boss stronger if we have more than one player in the boss arena? Third question: Is there a reason to fight any boss more than once? Is there different loot? Final question, assuming there is only 1 player in the boss fight, can that player win on Alpha difficulty with 20 of the following dinos? We have at least 5 of lvl 220-240 yutyrannus We have at least 20 of each lvl 220-240 rexes, megatheriums, and therizinosaurs We have about 3 daeodons that are lvl 220-240 We have the recipe for ascendant saddles for rexes and megatheriums. We don't have any recipes for therizinosaur or daedon or yutyrannus saddles above primitive. [link] [comments]  | ||
| What's the answer to Harvesting Dino Caps? Posted: 14 Feb 2021 06:23 AM PST I've been doing a bunch of my own research over the years, which started with an Angler 3 years ago. On Official servers, I noticed the Angler stopped increasing in it's harvest of Silica Pearls at around 630% melee so that got me thinking all dinos have a limit. Later down the line it seems as if only Harvesters do, not ones for fighting like the Rex or Giga. I got into a conversation about this and this guy told me most harvest dinos cap at around 600-650%. I can't find anything besides my experience with the Angler to back this up. I tried Googling this as well and I'm getting conflicting results, all recent. I also just went into single player on an Anky to test out 411-811% melee and the gain was less than 50 metal per rock for that many points into melee. I'm aware of the fact that each node has HP and it seems that determines how much you yield more so than the actual number of melee you have on your dino. But is this true? And if so where do you stop on certain harvest dinos? Has anyone ever made a chart or something for this? I'm looking for specific answers too about the Anky, Doed, Magma, Mammoth, Bronto, Beaver, Thorny, Therizino, Angler, and possibly a few others but I'm good with just an answer overall about all this. | First time on Genesis proper, what are some good tames for missions? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 10:33 PM PST Hey all, like the title says. I don't want to get too advanced right off the bat, but I highly doubt my little Raptor pack + Mammoth can do many hunt missions :( I managed to beat the gamma Brute Mammoth mission pretty easily, but I noticed a few big things, 1) It's cool to have one big creature and a few little dudes, this is a really fun pack. I ran through the other story ARKs on this character already, and Genesis is so different and fun! I know that the end boss is supposed to be obscenely hard, but the missions are fun. 2) X-Yutyranus make existing in the snow biome outrageously hard! I have a mod that lets me craft potions that prevent fear roar, but they're a bit pricey. What are some lesser used creatures that don't get fear roared? 3) If the gamma Brute Mammoth deals that much damage, I'm scared to death of the Beta and Alpha versions. Especially once I get around to doing hunt missions in scarier biomes. Currently I'm thinking about just biting the bullet and taming some good Yutys and maybe using a Yuty pack? I've never done it before, but they are big and fast. Otherwise I think it would be cool to breed some good Sabers and seeing how far I can get with the Mammoth tank + little fellas strategy. It would also be very cool to get good Allos! I've never used Allos before, do you know if a pack of them maneuvers well enough? Are small creatures like Dimorphodon worth using on hunt missions, btw? I feel like they would instantly get their shit rocked. Thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Bees removed from Crystal Isles? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 03:04 PM PST I've just finished doing a fairly thorough sweep of the Redwood areas where tameable beehives spawn. I found exactly 0, and thinking back, I haven't seen any in a long time. I had 2 tamed hives months ago. One day, they were just gone. I assumed that either I hadnt put Rare Flowers in there in too long, or else that got destroyed by a wild dino. It was on my to-do list to get more, but I havent seen any since then... Were they removed? Is the bee cave the only source of honey? I know people have had problems taming bees on Crystal Isles (broken hives not spawning queens or drones), but I've seen not documentation of this or anyone else mention online.
