Posted: 18 Feb 2021 07:10 AM PST For unnoficial servers, you need to have all your servers from the same cluster on the same machine, because they need to have access to a 'cluster' folder. However, theres literally hundreds of official servers connected to each other, so they're probably on different machines, and in different locations too (you can travel from EU servers to NA for example) So my question is, are they even using the same 'cluster' tech from unnoficials and somehow syncing the same folder to hundreds of servers at the same time (which I doubt) OR do they use a different protocol? I hope in the future they can update the cluster tech to unofficials so we can connect different servers from different machines allowing for more 'decentralized' clusters [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 18 Feb 2021 07:55 AM PST I have been breeding a lot of creatures (mainly for boss fighting) and most of the time I got 1 or 2 mutations and then it stopped. I am currently breeding gigas for titans on extinction and got 2 mutations in less than an hour, continued the breeding for like 2 hours and got nothing new. | Question about Explorer's Edition and Genesis Posted: 18 Feb 2021 11:14 AM PST Greetings. I saw the game is on sale on PSN right now and even Explorer's Edition. Does this version contain all DLCS? What about Genesis season pass? I didn't get it. Is it anotehr season pass not included in the Explorer's Edition? If so is there an Ultimate version having all DLCS? P.S: Also where is the PS5 update that was supposed to come in December? It would be really sad to get this game while there is no PS5 udpate yet. | Posted: 18 Feb 2021 10:59 AM PST Bloodstalker invisible webbing, Ferox not scaling with taming multiplier, disappearing randomly when transforming, glitch fixing progress resetting, Tranqed dinos disappearing when teleporting out of biomes, and green gas vents having an absurdly large bugged AOE, etc. Please, singeplayer on genesis is hard enough has it is, but these bugs make progress impossible without cheating. I have to turn on infinite stats just to survive the lunar biome because of the green gas vents killing me and breaking my armor from miles away. | Posted: 18 Feb 2021 05:45 AM PST For some reason, in the last 5 minutes I have lost the ability to walk as a survivor but when I'm on a mount I can walk perfectly fine. I can still jump, crouch, attack and all the rest just can't use WASD, but it only happens when I'm not mounted so it isn't a hardware issue or anything. I'm not encumbered, I have tried relogging but to no avail. Any ideas on how to fix this? [link] [comments]  | ||

If anyone wants to hire me, or take me graciously into their tribe, I shall act as bait, if you need it. The only things I require in return are: Shelter Some kind of armor Basic tools (pick, hatchet, sickle, bow/crossbow, etc) And, thats all! Also, I'm european, so european servers would be the best! Like recently I unlocked the romantic hair and beard style and the pinned slouch hat(forget the exact name) if I were to start a new character later would I still have access to the hat skin and hairstyles? | Genesis: Too easily accessible Creature Download? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 12:49 AM PST I'm playing a singleplayer playthrough using 1 character, progressing from The Island -> SE -> Abb -> Genesis 1. On all the past maps, the early games were always the most thrilling, I find myself completely defenseless and have to avoid Raptors, fighting herbivores for food, and be jumpscared and griefed by ambushing Raptors packs. There's a feeling of immense accomplishment to graduate from that state of helplessness and start to build a safe base with your first dinos before going out to explore more. All that was possible because the Obelisks, where you can download stuffs and powerful dinos from past accomplished maps, were hard to find and reach. Even in SE, the easiest Green Obelisk that is close to the easy zone, was guarded Terror Chickens, Hell Pigs and Kapros, and I still needed to completely own the lower desert areas where Raptors roam until I can mount and expedition there. Of course, on Abb, Obelisks were in the hardest to reach areas, and you have to basically complete everything else in order to get there, which was brilliant. On Genesis though, they were stupidly easy to find in the form of Mission Terminals. When trying out Genesis for the first time, I seemed to have found a thrilling early game experience that was just as tense as Abb: Where Abb pitted me against hordes of Raptors and a Basilisk in the Easiest area, here I found myself fighting for my life against X-Raptors and Hell Pigs while constantly harassed by swarms of Insect Swarm, all the while everything is so high-leveled there is no easy prey to hunt. So I thought that I would seek help from HLN-A and the mission system and maybe push for metal before going on. Except that the missions not only gave me that, but it also gave me access to Obelisk features. I got to download all my advanced base items and dinos minutes into the game, with no challenge whatsoever. The walk to the nearest Mission Terminal had nothing that would endanger me, not even a Raptor, I could reach it on foot, on sucky hide armors, and not a single tame to accompany. And yet I found myself already able to call down my Reaper King and tear this helpless ecosystem apart. Before, I planned to fight desperately to capture my own Bloodstalker, the Bog's apex, and use it to reach the 'Obelisk', but that grand plan seemed so trivial now. So, I want to ask: Am I supposed to do that? Is Genesis actually so challenging that you can easily access your past tames and you need them to even tackle it? (I haven't tried the glitches). Or do I need to restraint myself and refrain from downloading dinos until I got pass the early game for a challenging experience? I mean, it's a sandbox and of course I can, but then I'd be always under the impression that I'm restraining myself rather than immerse in the survival aspects and that would ruin the thrills. What is a good way to experience this map now that so much power was so easily given to me? [link] [comments]  | ||
