| Thoughts on the concept of an "ARK Show" [XBOX PVE] Posted: 12 May 2021 12:48 AM PDT Hi all, so recently i came up with the idea of hosting an "ARK Show" where essentially it would be paying X amount to bring a dino to a show for it to be judged off Colour, stats, and level (Maybe more any other categories are suggested). This is all just a concept at the moment and I just want to get a feel for it, so everything I write here just remember this is a base concept with room for improvement and may not even happen, id also appreciate any suggestions to improve it. The owner of the winning dino (probably top 3) will receive a prize of their choice. There would be 3 prizes (maybe more) and the first place winner would get first pick, second place get second pick and third gets whats left over. Given the server cap there would be an entry fee to know the server number and coords, and I would most likely host it on a flyers allowed genesis server in the ocean on 4 platforms. The entry fee would include entry for one dino but every additional dino would cost extra as well, with a set maximum The dinos would be judged by a group of people, unsure how these people would be selected, for their colour. Better colours equal more points and better stats equal more points, stats that are unwanted on a creature such as oxygen or food on most creatures wouldn't be considered for this. And the higher level a creature is, you would lose more points. You'd also have to prove that the creature is your work through the ancestry tree (Or another method if you can suggest it). If you're unable to prove its your work that creature will be disqualified but if you are proven to be using someone else's work you'll have all creatures disqualified and be banned from any future competitions. A few other side notes: You would have to be trusting enough to give your dinos to the judges for a short period of time so that your work could be verified. The dinos would most likely be displayed on taxidermy bases. If you leak the server and coords of the event you'd be banned from participating in the event and any future events, the coords and server also wouldn't go public until ~1 hour before the event starts to prevent leaking. This would be on PVE, not a PVP server as I am far to scared to play PVP. If I am the one who does this it probably wouldn't be until much later in the year as I currently don't have the time for something like this. So I just wanted to hear what you guys all thought of this concept, please leave any suggestions for it you have and let me know of your interest. And a few questions, how much would you pay for entry and per dino? What would you say the cap for dino amounts should be? What should the prizes be? | Posted: 11 May 2021 12:12 PM PDT Most single player saves were wiped in a recent-ish update. I haven't so much as turned on my Xbox in fear of losing my saves. Is it safe yet? If I log on will my saves still be deleted? Has this problem been successfully patched on Xbox yet? [link] [comments]  | ||
