Protecting Dinos in Single Player

I just started this game, and have managed to tame 4-5 dodos and a parasaur on my second day. I've been looking for how to keep them safe from wild dinos such as dilos at night (My current house is on the starting beach, and they're the only predators I've seen so far), but all can find is tips on keeping them safe from other players on PvE servers. Do I need to build a full building for them? Will a fence work? Any advice would help greatly.

Where is achievement progress stored?

I need to do a fresh install and don't want to lose all my progress towards the explorer notes and tames. Is it on my PlayerLocalData? I have my entire saves folder backed up anyway, just double checking I won't lose my progress.

Need help finding character on Xbox

So I've had the same character since the launch of new servers (used to play since it was game preview and the servers are now and I stopped playing for a while (on Xbox) when I clicked last played session it didn't bring me to my character nor any of my favorited servers were the one my character is on. Is there any way to find my character without going through the thousands of servers?

Megalosaurus & SS Mutator

I am playing on private cluster with SS mod. So far I have been using SS mutator to force mutations on ankylosaur and swap gender to always get mutated male.

Soon me and my tribe member are going to aberration and we started taming megalosaurus, wanted swap gender because I got female with good base stats. I used mutator but gender didint swapped, also waiting till night to try again but still cant chage gender.

Are you guys aware of any prerequisites for megalosaurus to be able to successfully perform gender swap?

Below are a few things I combined that I wrote.. I just got off official was like NOPE but I think official PVE is still really good for most.

Back story

My Ark history summed up very brief is one of building up, becoming top on my server typically (best designer bases, overall wealth, top stat dinos, colour library, boss completion) and then getting really bored and quitting. Rinse and Repeat for the past 6 years averaging a quit and starting back up every year.

Single Player

What I like:

No more pillar spam! It's so amazing. I know how unofficial players feel being able to place a trap without worrying if you can find a spot literally anywhere.
I can quit Ark for 6 months, come back and start where I left off. I love this part more than I would have thought.. I took a break recently, came back and it was so nice to see all of my starter stuff there. No stress of "I have to reset timers or else."

What I dont like:

I started Ark trading a lot and ended up getting tired of it in the end but it was still nice here and there so no trade obviously.
Most bases in Ark are ugly and boring, about 98% have little effort in the actual design. But it still had a human side to it and even though most are empty bases, it oddly still had that unpredictable human element to it (but again, most are empty so its 50/50 on feelings).
The rare (used to not be this way) seeing someone fly by or even more rare, someone on a raft just starting out.. people for me is what really pushed the love/hate relationship I've always had with this game.. a guy pulled a spino to my first ever base and killed everything because he could and laughed about it in global. I had a Chinese guy go out of his way to be nice to me, gave me all of these giga colours and basically saying "we're not all trolls/dupers." Ups and downs but all the same, memories and most of them good.

How to combat loneliness on single player:

If you're working from home and cant get out much for whatever reason (that is the best way, hanging out IRL) then have an alternative game that gives you that social interaction. New World is coming out, theres shooters, MMORPGs, etc.
If you are bored in game and like to build, make some random bases in various parts of the map.. you'll forget they're there, fly over them and be like "oh yeah, I remember that!" It brings back some of that human element. You can even copy bases off official if you must..
Watch Twitch while you play or run around on official.. I just ran around on official to see if I missed it or not before writing this and NOPE. Absolutely not. Ragnarok was quiet as could be, a bit of lag, pillared to death everywhere, a lot of empty bases just like how I remember it. Twitch is also nice if to get inspiration and just see how others play the game.

Keeping Official PVE fun

Trade. Trading opens up a lot rather it be something you tamed, stats and colour you put together, etc. People also have fun actually building the shop itself. Internally you go "okay I need to do this, this and this" while planning out the design. Sadly, there are no pioneers pioneering trade anymore... like my pioneering thing with trade on Official Forums (Before we traded on discord) were really amazing photos and a super sleek design. Most other people went the tacky route instead.. my sleek design helped push my stupid prices.
Have you ever experienced a brand new map? The hour it launches? Again, back in the day it used to be more fun.. now some tribes plot every action out ahead of time but it's still fun seeing the first person taming a rex or the first person with the new creature and just seeing people build up from wood to stone and metal bases.
Build outposts on every map. This allows you to have your foot in the door for that map but not go all in. A all metal outpost with a transmitter and some very basic things like a fridge, smithy, fab, couple vaults is plenty enough to do what you need to do during a taming event. You get to explore the maps you perhaps have never really seen before and just refresh the Ark experience.
Redesign your bases. Perhaps you already have the bases you want but do they look good? Is the wow factor merely the size of it without any real talent put behind the visual appeal or layout? Challenge yourself, take ideas from others if you must.. building in Ark is nothing like the Sims but it can still be fun and the lack of materials we have makes it even more of a challenge to make something amazing.

My views on Unofficial:

Not for me. I've had sooo many friends get burnt. They log on one day, they cant connect because the host didn't pay the server bill and is done with Ark. Or you have some power hungry twat that deletes all your stuff. The vast majority of my friends that've played on unofficial has had significant issues in the end. Not everyone will have this experience of course but for me, its a no go. I'm also very bad at sucking up to people.

Quitting Ark is okay, it doesn't mean Ark is gone forever

Don't play Ark until you hate it. I know some people that pushed it so hard, they now hate Ark. They don't even want me to mention it, they just REALLY hate Ark. If your timers are ticking and you are going to go through the stress of losing everything, perhaps hit up some friends and ask if they'd like any of it and leave. It's okay.

Mutation stats question

Do mutations count as base levels or manual level ups? i ask this because manual level ups change with how much base stats a dino has (because its % based) and if the mutations count as base levels that changes everything for me.
