    Anyone hope ark 2 has significantly more in-depth breeding?

    I've always found the breeding in ark to be pretty boring and uninteractive. Mutations are uninteresting and op, and once you have a decent breeding program you're able to amass a goofy amount of dinos.

    What about a breeding system where there are mutations that are beneficial, tradeoffs, and downright detrimental? Examples would include size, fur/feather length, claw size, and even more interesting stuff like bioluminescence. This would allow you to make specialized breeds of dinos and even make the pug equivalent of a raptor if you so choose.

    I would also like to see some mechanics preventing the mass breeding and hoarding of dinos. It lags servers and creates balance issues and is generally not immersing. Like what if dinos began to become sick or unhappy if you keep them in an overcrowded space or something.

    What is your guys opinion on this and what kind of breeding mechanics 2puld you like to see in ark 2?

    Single Player Rockwell fight question/observation

    Hi. So I'm prepping for doing rockwell on single player. I've seen post from years ago that megalasaurus have a glitch when not mounted they only do their grab attack. I couldn't find anything recent, but in my own testing, by sending groups of them to attack random monsters, they seem to start with the grab but the longer the fight goes the more frequently they use their regular attack. I'm playing each map fresh so I'm not looking to do rockwell with full tek gear and no dinos. Am I wasting my time with the megas or have their been changes to their AI since 2017-18?

    Can't join servers by ip on Steam

    Hey guys I'm trying to join unoffical servers like MTS but when I add the ip on Steams server section, it says not responding. I have all required mod for MTS but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me?

    Patch

    My ark client is in patch 678.7, but the server I'm joining and crashing in is in 678.13, would the patch difference cause the crashing?

    Need a list of console graphics commands

    Does anyone have a list of graphics commands that can be used in the console? I have a small list of them but still dont know how to change FOV and I think there are some missing commands I havent used. For context, I am trying ARK on stadia and Wildcard has lazily ported the game over and it looks like ps4 graphics with the res at 4k. I have made the game slightly better looking, but there are still some resolution/scaling settings that need tweaking. Thanks.

    Griffin auto landing

    I'm playing on Ragnarok and I just tamed a griffin, I noticed that unless I'm very high in the sky, if I dismount then my griffin will land automatically instead of just hovering, is this a bug or do they just hate flying

    Transferring Non-Dedicated Save to Dedicated Save on Different PC (Windows 10 Edition)

    Hey guys! I've been playing this game with my friends over the course of the last few days. They are on Xbox, I am on Windows 10. I have played this game on Steam before (about 75 hours) and I wasn't too thrilled when I found out that the Windows 10 edition of this game doesn't allow you to change the tether distance! My friends and I are getting fed up with not being able to explore the map, level our dinos, or get resources on our own. I just so happen to have another computer that is more than capable of running an Ark server. I downloaded the game there, started a Dedicated session, quit it, then I overwrote the Ragnarok.ark file on the other PC with the one from my gaming PC. When I restarted the Dedicated server, there was no change. The Ragnarok.ark file wasn't overwritten, it was still the same 35MB it was before, but it just seemed to not be used when I was launching the server. Did I do something wrong? I think it is very dumb that I can't edit the tether distance on my Windows 10 Edition of the game since I have MORE than enough processing power to keep the game from crashing. Thanks in advance!

    tl;dr: I want to transfer a non-dedicated ark from a gaming pc to a server pc and host it as a dedicated ark, all using Ark Windows 10

    PVE Tribe Governance and Management help

    So I've played Ark Single Player on and off for years now. It wasn't until recently I got into playing official and now I haven't missed but maybe 2 days since the Summer bash event. Our tribe leader made me an admin after maybe a week or two and now he's gone for a month. We've dealt with his paranoia and accusing others of sabotage and stealing/unlocking things multiple times now and it's gotten quite frustrating.

    Well he has left for a month now and I'm "the one he can trust." Idk if that's because I do so much or because I'm one a lot, but I'm in charge of 5-6 tribes and making hard decisions. I caught someone in the admin base today and had to remove them and they were one of the ones in the tribe I enjoyed playing with. I feel like these problems are kind of a lot for PVE, but expected in PVP. They are happening regularly. I'm wondering if it's like this for everyone PVE or PVP.

    If you have any suggestions on governance settings that have worked best for you or ways to manage this I'd like to know. I'm at the point where I'm just going to let the tribe go and start my own. I feel a lot has to deal with the Tribe Leader and the way he wants everything to be. I'm just trying to have fun and find trust worthy people I can take to PVP one day.

    Any help guidance would be nice.

    Only poison Wyvern eggs spawn

    So, I am playing Singleplayer Ragnarok without mods. After I raised the difficulty the only Wyvern eggs (and Wyverns) that spawn are Poison ones. Does anyone know whats going on?
