    I've been playing Ark on and (mostly) off for a couple years, and started a new game on Extinction a couple weeks ago. I was lucky enough to grab a couple of decent dire bears and have been raising a group of them. There were 5 of them, all mid-100s level, with around 10k health and decent damage. They've taken on lots of things, from groups of Rexs to a level 330 corrupted rex that spawned at one of the loot drops. However, I've never fully engaged a giga, until this fine Saturday morning that is. I ran across a level 25 giga some time after fighting the rex (plenty of time for everything to heal). I thought, "there's no way this thing is worse than some of the things these bears have killed." As soon as it's first attack landed, I knew that was incorrect. Only the bear I was riding survived.

    tl;dr: For any other somewhat new players, gigas are not to be fucked with. They are not just slightly tougher t-rexs. They will take a dump on your face, unless adequately prepared.

    So I wanna prepare to fight the Dodorex and Dodowyvern each third night, but I have one issue, haven’t figured out how long each day/night cycle lasts on Island and Scorched on official servers. Wanna make sure I don’t miss a night that they spawn!!!

    Showcase a CKF build

    Let's try this one last time and my apologies to the mods if I put in some work for them. Wasn't my intention.

    I really would like to show of this base. It's something I'm really proud of.

    Mod: CKF remastered. Main mansion of the little townbuild we did. This is a co-op work between me and a tribemate. He was also the one doing the heavylifting of the farming stuff since I was too sick to do that at the time. But like every good roommate, once I recovered I threw the ressources out of the window like there was no tomorrow.

    Color scheme on building: skyblue for the walls and black for the details. flooring is mud.

    I put in some multilamps from S+ under the foundations and colored them orange. That's where the light is coming from. ;)

    Streetlamps from eco garden mod.

    I can try and put in some pictures of the interior if that is something you want to see? Used RR Home Dekor primarily for that one.
