A nicer way to make ArgentAvis traps Posted: 08 Mar 2022 01:15 AM PST I came up with my own way to make ArgentAvis traps. I don't like lining up several gateways because it's very hard to align & space them. First you put a 2x4 layout of foundations on the ground. Then you put up a gateway on one end, using two fence foundations to align the gateway. Then on the long sides you put 4 x 4 single door doorframes. On the end opposite the gateway, you put 2x2 double door doorframes on the bottom, and 2x2 single door doorframes on above that. Then you just put 2 x 4 ceiling panels on top. Everything is stone. This way everything is automatically and perfectly aligned and it looks nice. Optionally you can put a couple of stairways to get in. [link] [comments] |
Magmasaur died instantly with 300k health Posted: 08 Mar 2022 03:53 AM PST So me and my friend were going across this lake in Lost island to the volcano biome with our magmasaurs, keep in mind his magmasaur had 300k, we were swimming on our magmsaurs towards the biome and my friends magmasaurs stamina ran out and he was forced to get off and while he was waiting the magmasaur just died somehow. Posted: 08 Mar 2022 02:11 AM PST I finally understand how levels work in breeding. Each tame has six traits and each trait has a multiplier number. The total of all the multipliers equals the level number of the tame. So if you want to get the highest level number you can for the offspring, the best way to do it is to get two high level wild dinos that are fairly close to each other in level (if one of the mates is much lower level than the other one, then it's useless for breeding an offspring that's higher level than both parents). Then breed like a few dozen offspring. This way, you'll get a few offspring that combine the highest multipliers from both parents, which will then give you the highest level offspring that you can get from those parents. For example, today I tamed two argentavis that were both level 140. Then they were 202 after taming. Then the highest level offspring I managed to get from them was level 228 (without any mutations). The reason is because the two parents had different size multipliers, and the 228 level offspring took the highest multipliers from both parents. So like after I had been breeding them a while, it looked like 228 was the highest I would get and I decided to end it there. My level 228 argie with 100% imprinting has about 540 melee points without any leveling up. BTW my discussion here doesn't involve mutations. You reject mutations until after you get the absolute highest level non-mutated offspring that you can from the parents. [link] [comments] |
Fishing mission on Gen1 bugged Posted: 08 Mar 2022 01:04 AM PST So I tried the ice fishing mission for Gen1, but the fish are not biting? I tried everything I can think of but could not get a single fish to bite. Is there some work around here? Im on ps4 [link] [comments] |
Everybody's playing Elden Ring but I'm still playing Ark Posted: 08 Mar 2022 12:38 AM PST While 90% of gamers are playing Elden Ring, I'm still playing Ark, because I'm burned out on the Souls games. I played all of them except for bloodborne, sekiro, and elden ring. I tried bloodborne for free but I hated it and deleted it after 15 min. I would like to wait until I have a RTX 4090 card and a fast 4K gaming monitor before I finally play Elden Ring. Right now I'm playing solo on Ragnarok using the free PS+ copy of Ark on my PS5 (was playing The Island map on PC up til now). I just tamed two wild level 140 argentavis and got a level 228 baby with 100% imprinting after some breeding. This will be my main ride. Now I can finally explore the whole map. I had to take my breeders to a cold, snowy zone because it was too hot at my base and I didn't have enough polymer to make an air conditioner. Chitin is really hard to get at the moment.
