| Posted: 05 Sep 2019 07:35 AM PDT I've been seeing a lot of people claim the anti-mesh plugin is the end all solution for meshing, but I've also heard rumors that people are asking for it to be removed from their servers. So just out of curiosity I wanted to reach out to those who have been playing with the anti mesh plugin enabled on their server for at least a couple of weeks and ask a few questions, rather than relying on the opinions of those who haven't tried it.
Again I'm just looking for a mature discussion from people who have tested it, the goal is not to argue about why it is or is not a solution. I feel like actual feedback is getting overlooked due to people spamming "this kid fixed meshing and wildcard didnt" whenever the subject comes up. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Vanilla bridge building in aberration? Posted: 05 Sep 2019 10:43 AM PDT So, after returning to Ark after a year long hiatus, my fiance and I have started on aberration. We're on an official xbox server and a lovely veteran helped us move to a more resource rich area in the fertile zone and gifted us a few Tek Bridges since we're kind of on a cliff island above the rivers. Well, we weren't aware of the extremely short Tek bridge decay, even with foundations, so we lost our bridges twice now and we're gonna have to do it the old fashioned way. I've looked up bridge building but everyone seems to be using s+ which we clearly don't have. Is there an easier way to build a bridge across the cliffs? It's not a super huge gap, but it's enough to be an annoyance while building with limited dinos. And honestly, why isn't the fence foundation trick available for everyone, it's so much easier. | Managarmr barrier death glitch Posted: 05 Sep 2019 09:09 AM PDT My friend was flying one on non dedicated to test it out and he died to it, I did some searching so I know the basics, and about how these devs rushed extinction so they could make atlas, but is there anyway I can make sure this glitch doesn't happen to me I plan to buy a managarmr for pvp official and I don't want it to die and be a waste of $13.50 [link] [comments]  | ||
| Give some support to Blur - ARK Youtuber Posted: 05 Sep 2019 06:58 AM PDT Blur has been having some problems with his Mental Health lately which has caused him to switch off from his Youtube. Youtube can be a stressful life if you feel like you CONSTANTLY need to upload. Pressure of jobs really do happen anywhere and everywhere. People from the outside may look at Youtubers and think 'oh they've got perfect lives' when in reality that might not be the case. There has been a few Youtubers who have committed suicide. Blur has come out and practically said he has been having suicidal thoughts. You can tell this has become something which he cannot handle. I watched his video and hated the fact he was breaking down because of his parents breaking down over it. Which shows hes a very family man. End of the day I am posting this because I feel like everyone should be much more aware of Mental Health, even at a young age. Please upvote or comment your support for him. He has committed his main channel to ARK and as part of the ARK community, I wouldn't want anyone, in general, to be having these types of thoughts. Much love Blur - keep going mate! | A few questions for a new(ish) ARK player Posted: 05 Sep 2019 06:44 AM PDT So far I have been playing single player and have been enjoying the experience with mods as it changes the way the game plays. I have not finished any of the ARK stories as of yet but have been tinkering around a lot with mods and have some concerns. So a couple of major questions. With these following mods installed: -Primal Fear -Extinction Core -Immersive taming 1) Do these (above mods) stack cleanly or should I just use only one or two? Or will they clash? ((Granted I actually have a lot more mods than this installed but I'm worried about these two overlapping)) 2) I've been eager to try Primal Fear and/or Extinction Core. Should I actually even bother with these at all yet considering I haven't even finished The Island? Rofl 3) any good Crop growth speed multipliers recommended for single player? kind of want it to take maybe 10-30mins to grow but I can't figure out the math behind it. I know the wiki says 24 hours for a crop to fully grow. 4) any other mods you guys would recommend? If needed I could provide my current list. Important note: these questions are all related to a single player experience, I don't really play on multiplayer servers. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 04 Sep 2019 01:29 PM PDT Does anyone know of an active mod that enables wild egg laying that a) keys off actual mate boosted dinos not virtual dinos and b) is not part of a larger mod. I know of two active mods based on the same code: Fertilized Eggs Naturally Spawn and Wild Fertilized Eggs no Tame which is related. Both of those mods rely on virtual dinos and so eggs spawn randomly unrelated to actual in game dinos. There are two in depth mods: Survival Plus and Ark Vanilla Enhanced that support wild eggs and in the Survival Plus case, mate boosted, but they carry a large set of other changes. Triggering off of mate boosted dinos sets up situations where players may need to figure out how to pen or otherwise track wild dinos to get an egg, especially dinos like Carno's which tend to spawn in semi-isolation. There were one or two mods back in 2017 that did this but they're abandoned now. I've combed through the workshop but its search function kind of sucks. So if anyone knows of such a mod I'm all ears. | Will fence foundations + rails stop resource spawns? Posted: 04 Sep 2019 01:15 PM PDT I'm trying to build a fence around my animal area, which is near a small laike on Val, right at the end of the white cliffs. Metal spawns nearby, and I don't want to affect that, but do want to keep my animals safe. I know walls or foundations will definitely stop the spawn, and know that fence foundations don't, and pillars won't (but I really don't like the look of pillars as a fence). So I"m wondering if I can use rails on the fence foundations and still keep the spawn safe. (I should probably say I"m not building right on top of it, so it should be safe anyway, but I don't want to take a chance since this is a nice, safe source of metal). [link] [comments]  | ||

Can a Thyla enter all artifact caves on Valguero? If not, what dinos can? This is before I have any Tek, so no cryopods. I am just starting out and theorycrafting the best dinos to get. I started a rag game and thanks to a some luck i managed to get high level allos as my second tame and i started breading.
