Why are there 30k players on steam but hardly any popular servers? Posted: 18 Oct 2019 09:07 PM PDT My group of friends and I wanted to start playing again but are noticing a large lack of high-population servers, that aren't RP servers/100x servers. Steamcharts.com says there's ~25k+ people playing the game, I fail to believe that the majority of those are playing singleplayer/local. ark forces a redraw and close razer synapse Posted: 18 Oct 2019 08:59 PM PDT UPDATE: it was bloody battleye doing that does this happen to anyone? when I load the game it forced a gpu redraw/restart and closes a bunch of other programs like razer synapse nvidia geforce experience ccleaner etc firefox crashed because of the gpu restart ​ validated files. has been happening for a few days now I wonder if it was my setting but I highly doubt it. no other games does this. client version is 299.27 driver is 436.48 win10 1903 ​ UPDATE: it was bloody battleye doing that submitted by /u/hiimzech [link] [comments]

Cannot Equip Handcuffs to sleeping player Posted: 18 Oct 2019 07:09 PM PDT Title Also tried equipping armor to them, not sure if you're supposed to be able to do that, but I couldn't. I'm on a non-dedicated with PvP disabled and friendly fire on. It doesn't work whether the player is in my tribe or not. I tried doing it while they are sleeping from logging off as well as unconscious from eating a stack of narcoberries. The Hands slot lights up when I pick up the handcuffs, but it just snaps back to my inventory. Pressing E doesn't work either. I joined a tribe but when I left all my stuff belongs to them!! Posted: 18 Oct 2019 05:30 PM PDT I play a private pvp server with some friends. Two of us decided to explore together and for some reason decided it would be easier to make a temporary tribe. However after the adventure I returned to my base and left the tribe, only to realise I was locked in my base and everything I had built and owned now belonged to my mate. Mana and all my stuff just... Disappeared. Posted: 18 Oct 2019 12:21 PM PDT Last night I transferred to an official Island server for the first time to do some exploring. After and hour of two of jumping around I caught a huge lag spike, then my game froze for about 30 seconds before showing me a spawn screen. No recorded death in the log for me or the dino, no stuff to be found, mana completely despawned. I've had a hard couple of days getting wiped over and over, I was able to secure a few things and my mana. Now I've lost everything due to a glitch :( I found some threads on the official forums where people mentioned similar experiences. Has this happened to anyone else here? Rock Drake Egg Stealing Posted: 18 Oct 2019 02:43 PM PDT I'm about 2 or 3 weeks into Aberration and after a slowish play through I'm at the point where I'm starting to think about getting a drake. This is my first play through of aberration and I've seen a few YouTube videos on it and I'm just trying to figure out if I'm ready for it or not. I don't have anything to hatch the eggs or fridges or anything like that but I can sort that out at any time really. Mainly I'm wondering if my dinos are ready for it. I have 3 mounts that I would consider going down with atm, a spino, karkinos and a megalo, my others either aren't radiation-immune or ate too slow to bother. All three are close to level 300 but are not imprinted, and none of them have had any trouble dealing with single drakes in the blue zone, or any other enemies, before. What dinos are the best down there and how much health and melee is recommended? Do I need imprinted ones? Also, what shoulder pet is best? valguero mod extension is good? Posted: 18 Oct 2019 02:43 AM PDT Hello I play single player on my valguero map and I like it but I saw some mod that add new dinos like mana or griffon etc...my question is because I never had any mod before will my save delete when I add this mod? Will I have to start from 0 if I add the mod or how does it work? Or I just add the mod and then play where I left and the new dinos will start spwaning? + is this mod good or are there any other mods that are cool and I should try them ? I have done everything expect reinstall my os, and have zero results. Today, I installed the game, under a different account, on a different computer. Again, NO OFFICIAL SERVERS!? Game freezing and stuttering Posted: 18 Oct 2019 02:41 AM PDT Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit. So, I finally got settings that let me run at 60fps but I have lots of stuttering and freezing. I have a Ryzen 5 2600, an RX 570 and 8gb of ram (which might be a factor). I've noticed with AMD performance monitor that when the game freezes my CPU and GPU usage drops (CPU from 15%~ to around 8%~ and GPU from 98% to 60%~). Could this be a memory problem? The game is constantly using 6gb of ram but I'm planning to upgrade to 16gb soon. I have updated my driver's to the latest version and my GPU and CPU temp doesn't exceed 65 degrees Celcius. No OC either. Some areas where the game might freeze is when breaking rocks (once they break and the particles go everywhere) and killing dinos. I have this game on a HDD but usage stays at 50%.
