| Posted: 16 Mar 2021 02:21 AM PDT I started playing this game a week ago and got so sick of getting destroyed by dinos every time I attempt to run 20 feet and then having to run back to my stuff so I just hid a starting base at a spawn point and have been staying around there. Well I just now got to the point where I have a small surplus of gear and weapons and started doing some exploring and literally 100 feet from my base theres a mountain with rocks where I can get like nearly 100 metal per rock. I have literally been collecting metal from regular stones this entire time. Out of ALL of the tip videos I watched about gathering resources, literally none of them mentioned that you can just get metal from giant ass metal rocks. | What's the best way to level up a boss army? Posted: 15 Mar 2021 07:16 PM PDT Title. Me and my tribe are gearing up to do Val boss with rexes but i'm unsure of the best way to level the army. So how do people go about leveling theirs? I take it taking them out individually and killing everything in sight isn't the best way? And is 30-40k health still the best amount for general boss killing? All the old threads seem to say 30k health with 100+ saddles on, but then i get the odd few who say 35k and even up to 40k, so what's the best? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Base stats multiplier question Posted: 15 Mar 2021 01:11 PM PDT So I'm trying to get a server up and running and I want to start characters off with a but better base stats. 500 health, 200 stam and 500 oxygen. Instant the server up and everything is working and putting points into the stats are correct. UNTIL... I respawn/fast travel, then those base stats I increased multiply the points that were put into the stats. For example I out 4 points into oxygen, 100 oxygen per point, getting it to 900 then when I respawn I suddenly have 2500. From what I can tell the game is multiplying the per point amount to the base stat increase amount, so 5 x 100. I'm using beacon to do my changes so everything should be correct. I figured I could just tweak the per point stat to match what I want when multiplying by the base stat, but then people would have to level up and then respawn to get the correct stats which who would want to do that? You know. Anyone know anyway to get around this or correct it? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 15 Mar 2021 10:26 AM PDT Hello! I just started playing Ark on XBox, I see you can join these unofficial PC Sessions with insta tame and fibercraft which I'm assuming are mods active. My question is, am I just joining a pc game someone has started and playing cross platform? I want to run the mod Play As A Dino and I'd even enjoy playing that or the regular game solo/offline if I could use instatame and fibercraft but I don't understand how it works. Why can I join those sessions and play but not use the mods solo myself? Am I making sense? Do I just need to find a server running that mod and join it to play on xbox?? [link] [comments]  | ||

My xbox is on patch 809.2 which I believe is behind the 809.5 that was released recently? Can someone let me know which patch their xbox is on, so I can figure out what's wrong?
