Can we talk about the Chinese/box tribe issues for a min? Posted: 12 Feb 2021 05:25 AM PST I love this game. I've been playing since its release and dedicate a LOT of time to it. I've made some really great friends. But this year has been...rough. For everyone. Ark is such a happy place for me. I've always been official because a big part of the fun (imo) is meeting new people and hanging out. But maybe that's going to change... So lets talk about some things. Every single day when the box tribes start waking up and logging in, all our servers start to die. Not just one. All of them. The lag starts. It's always there but its bearable until this time. It starts yo-yoing, ramping up worse and worse. Then the crashes start. You may as well not do anything too important because the server crashes will come every hour or 2 and fuck you. This goes on until the wee hours of the morning when it settles back down and resumes normality. Now. I see this on all servers. Along with griefing beyond measure, cheating and harassment. Why is this allowed to happen? I really don't know much about WC's relationship with China so, from a business standpoint, why would they allow their game to be overrun like this, causing massive issues for other players? Also, wtf are these guys doing that causing the servers to do this? I can't even get excited for Ark 2, because honestly, there's going to have to be some pretty large scale changes for me to shell out money for another game that could potentially have the same issues. I can see now why people preach private servers. I really don't want to have to give up official but this game is almost unplayable at this point. submitted by /u/izzidora [link] [comments]

Theoretical flyer leveling setting question Posted: 12 Feb 2021 05:48 AM PST This is more of a theoretical question. I have a cluster of 7 maps. I enabled flyer leveling on all 7, but lets say hypothetically I left it disabled on one of them. If someone transfers a creature from one that was enabled to one that wasn't, how would that affect the levels? Would it remove those levels or just not let you put more in? Cant download/upload items from beacons/obelisks Posted: 12 Feb 2021 07:47 AM PST It says "ARK item downloads are disabled on this server." when i try to download items from a beacon. My items have 3 hours left before they get deleted, is this a known bug or is it intentional?
