| Yet another thread about potato graphics on a decent computer: An Update Posted: 24 Jun 2021 06:29 AM PDT For anyone looking for a potential solution to this problem - I ran across a suggestion on another older thread to delete your "engine.ini" and your "gameusersettings.ini" from your shootergame/saved/config folder. That worked for me. Back your ini files up, delete or move them out of the ark folder, and when you run the game, ark will make fresh copies. This is going to wipe out your custom keybinds and graphics/options settings, so you'll have to set all that stuff again, but I got my textures back. Good luck! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Aberration solo ascension is complete Posted: 24 Jun 2021 08:02 AM PDT Hello I Ascended just recently solo in single player with very few changes to Dino damage and hp buff 0.15% more then Default and some others to speed up the gameplay but without touching the actual gameplay. You might have seen my last post about the island ascension, non the less aberration has always been my favorite map due to the beauty and the magical feeling you get is just astronomical. Tames used are imprinted- 12 megalosaurus and 2 spinos for Rockwell, getting the artifacts proved to be very easy and didn't take long as the caves are simple. I didn't use any dinos from the previous map as I start everything with only the dinos on the map I am playing, I kept my items from before however. Rockwell is overall easy but he made it hard for me due to Dino control while using a shotgun is a bit hard, since on ps4 the turns are very sharp when you use a weapon while on a tame and I could barely keep my Dino going straight and avoiding the balls that he shoots. I know some are doing a solo walkthrough like me from island to genesis 2 in order, would be nice if you share your experience as it's always nice to read what others experienced, their aren't as many solo players walkthrough threads. The main Tames I used for aberration Ravager, the best early tame I had, has good stats and weight which helps carry stuff fast and extremely powerful in a pack Anko, a very useful metal gathering Dino and since I had my base at fallen nexus I easily farmed 3-4k metal, it reduces the weight of the metal in its inventory by 75% Megalosaurus and spinos were my damage dealers to Rockwell, didn't use them for anything else almost. Basilisk, I just love this one as it helps in knocking out other dinos without the need of using tranq darts and is overall strong. The main goal for me was to collect the red gems from the rat so I can rush my hazard suit, once I got a couple of full hazard suits I went near the edge which is close to the portal and the river, got my light pet ready and flew right now with a glide, flying down is always so satisfying, I had a spino in a cryo to deal with the rock drakes down, I recommend landing at the path that leads to the rock drake nest so you don't get lost, once I got my rock drakes everything became easy. The surface was also easy but I didn't bother going there, the loot is always primitive 100% due to a bug so it wasn't worth it. A good spino can easily deal with reapers above if you have a light pet on. Overall the map is just magnificent and especially the avatar looking area at night is just amazing, now it's time to move to extinction, will be taming all the Titans and going for the alpha. If you have any questions don't be shy, I know I am not the only one who had some tilting moments in aberration, will never forget when I had three reaper queens chasing me while my tame was out of stamina... | Mutation Stats Carrying over confuses me Posted: 23 Jun 2021 11:07 PM PDT ive been trying to make a group of really good deinons, and i got 4 stamina mutations and bred them by breeding 2 together, then the other 2 together, and the finished product who was a combination of 4 mutations(they showed up in the ancestor menu) but it only had the effect of 0 mutations. Im so confused as to why a dino with 4 mutations has the exact same stats as the original parents, who are mutation free. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Building a bridge in the Epic version of Ark. Posted: 24 Jun 2021 05:32 AM PDT Hello. I have a small server for 3 players with a Ragnarok Map. We decided to install our base on the top of a pillar in the Ebling plateaus. But we realised that there was no practical way to link 2 pillars with a bridge because of the 2 ceiling distance from a fondation rule. So I tried to install structure+ on the server without a Steam version of Ark installed (which was a pain in the ass). Then I tried installing the mod in the mod folder of the Epic version of the game (which doesn't seem to work) We juste want to be able to build bridges in the air, so is there an other way I can do that ? | 'Shadowmane is already eating' taming bug? Posted: 24 Jun 2021 05:10 AM PDT Hello, I have just started trying to tame my first Shadowmane on Genesis 2. I have gotten a bunch of fish all in traps ready for taming. I got a nice high level one trapped and once it was asleep I snuck up to it in Ghillie and tried placing down a fish basket, only for a bunch of red text to pop up reading "Shadowmane is already eating" and for the fish basket to completely disappear and the taming process and not start. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? This is the first time I've ever attempted Shadowmane taming so I'm not quite sure what is happening. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Are They Going To Fix The Cryopods? Posted: 23 Jun 2021 10:12 PM PDT I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who noticed, at least I hope I'm not. But when Genesis Pt2 came out, the update they made to the cryopods to see what dinos have mutations as well as the colours and what region their in, isn't there anymore. Even my mutated dinos that I know have mutations, when put into a cryopod, the cryopod says it has no mutations. Are they going to fix that? Cause yes I love the Incubators, but those are only useful for egg bearing dinos not live birth. I catalogue all of my mutated dinos, and being able to see the exact colour for each region was a game changer for me so I didn't have to stare at two dinos and go "I think this is a different shade of orange" [link] [comments]  | ||
