| Posted: 24 Jan 2019 09:32 AM PST So I log on and the first I see that my tribe lost two quetzes that was in a cryofridge, I died in a TEK sleeping pod and seven of our rexes died on the red oblisk. This would not be so wierd if it was PVP, but this is on official EU Island PVE server. I heard with my tribe if anyone have been online today, but none of them wore online when this happened, we wore all at work (offline protected). And this happened "two game days" before I logged on (2 hours). And this have only affected our tribe on this server. If it was a server glitch I would understand that, but only our tribe? | ARK Survival Needs A Dedicated PvP Balance Team Posted: 24 Jan 2019 11:26 AM PST This game could be a ton better apart from just focusing on core issues in game (duping, meshing, dossing, etc) if the balance of the game was better. Before it's too late, I believe it's time for those that run ark to look into installing a balance team to work alongside the developers or at least selected individuals to collect quality feedback from the community throughout forums, reddit, and other social media platforms. Going through patch notes of other games and,will be honest, bit jealous at the amount of effort towards balancing the game and changing the meta is done. In order for ark to thrive, there needs to be crucial meta changes (not speaking of mana meta, it's currently a nightmare but dino leashes save the day) to keep the game interesting. | Most unusual thing you’ve done while waiting on a tame: Posted: 24 Jan 2019 06:14 AM PST Finished grinding and taming yesterday evening. Needed to cut my hair and trim my beard. Happened to spot a L150 Trike literally right in front of my trapping raft. ... Ugh... okay... Kited, trapped, tranq'd, filled. Buzzed my hair and tidied up my beard while keeping an eye on the Trike. Had to stop every now and then to shoo off various curious predators. That got me thinking. Many of you are smarter than me and just dump kibble and run. But for those of you who aren't to that point yet, what's the most unusual thing you've done while mindlessly babysitting a tame? | Remove Managarmrs from Aberration Posted: 23 Jan 2019 04:46 PM PST Velons, Gachas, and Gasbags are all well and good, but the Managarmr is essentially a flying dino, its insane speed and utility in the dash + freeze breath makes the rock drake almost useless, significantly changing the natural progression on ab. It ruins the spirit of Aberration. My recommendation is to: - Place a notice on the menu that all Managarmrs will be removed from all official Aberration servers (unofficial remains untouched and server admins can make their decision on if they should also remove manas) within one week - This will be a grace period for people to transfer their Managarmrs off server. | Posted: 24 Jan 2019 06:24 AM PST What purpose is there in applying cryo-effects to babies, aside from making imprint timers royally suck on large raises by gapping each baby by 5 minutes? Think, if I pop 20 rexes this morning then find out I have to leave town for 3 days I'll pod my babies. When I get back, it's going to take almost 2 hours to pop them all out, which makes imprinting them actually take almost 2 hours as well. Yes, I know I could just wait til all 20 timers hit zero before doing imprints, and Rex could be a bad example because of the grace period. But, I don't know about some of you but I work a shitload of hours during the week and can't always ritually be online every 8 hours on the button for imprints (I'm looking at you, giga). I think I'm forgetting to make another point on this that I know someone will mention, so I guess I'll address whatever it is in the comments. Also didn't I hear out of a devs mouth during live stream that imprint timer wouldn't be reset upon podding a baby? The only other thing I could think of is to code it to where claiming a fresh baby (imprinting on it as per the prompt itself) gives it its first imprint. I see absolutely no harm in this. I want to build a PC for a friend who loves this game as a present, and was hoping to get one that could run ARK on top graphics since they currently run on lowest and still lag. | How would YOU Improve ark's Combat? Posted: 23 Jan 2019 03:42 PM PST I love the heck outta Ark, but after playing a bit of Conan Exiles I've found that the combat system is far deeper than in the former game. A lot of fighting in Ark is just clicking the same button over and over and hoping you're stronger than your foe. The problem is, Ark has a ton of creature mounts you can fight on when Conan doesn't, potentially making a more-fleshed out combat system harder to implement. Anyway, if you had the opportunity to spruce up Ark's combat to be more engaging, what would you like to see? [link] [comments]  | ||

Damage lowered on freeze. Want better damage? Start mutating. Add a cooldown like barrel roll for the ground slam. Only one ground slam per 30 seconds. [link] [comments]  | ||
