| Are tribe logs a reliable way to know a dino is dead? Posted: 01 Apr 2019 08:01 AM PDT New player on PS4. Using my own Nitrado server for me and some friends. I've been using the Tribe logs to tell whether or not a Dino is missing or dead. Is this reliable? If they die while no-one is online does it still record it? How about on the other side of the map? I don't want to spend effort locating dinos that are dead. Is this the best way to know? If not, what is? Thanks, [link] [comments]  | ||
| Why are the globally banned allowed to play on Conquest (CLASSIC PVP) Posted: 01 Apr 2019 12:04 PM PDT Recently ark servers got a patch (Since Friday) which shows as additional metrics. This seems to be the anti mesh measure in place. Ive been hearing lot of people getting banned from small tribes for being bad. Since the global ban they are banned from SMALL TRIBES and OFFICIAL but can still play on CONQUEST . Have not heard of bans on people under mesh from conquest (soon to be classic pvp). So does this means that your additional metrics are not working on Snail Game associated servers? Can we get a clarification before the players head into the new servers blindly. | Posted: 01 Apr 2019 12:01 PM PDT So i started playing Ark with my brother few weeks ago, we are playing in the map "Ragnarok" on a non-dedicated server that i host. So far everything was going well, we had about 100h+ on this map and the next day i tried to open the server like every day but this happen.. I had my character, all my lvl and my engrams unlocked like normally but i was dead ? so i respawned and go back to my base to see why i was dead but.. No base, no structures, just nothing.. a fresh and new map out of nowhere ?? i did nothing so i don't understand why i have a fresh new map... then i tried a lot of thing to have my map back but nothing to do i am lost, i still have all my saved file and everything but still can't load my map... pls any help would be apreciated.. | Some structures are getting damaged, despite not being reachable by enemies. Posted: 01 Apr 2019 11:06 AM PDT I'm playing on a PvE server that uses S+ and my base is built using S+ assets. I've been noticing that random parts of my base are showing up as damaged, despite not taking any enemy damage. Things like stairs well within the walls of my enclosed base, foundations literally in the middle of my base, and so on. The damage is fairly minimal, maybe like 20 or so HP missing from it, but I'm just wondering where it's coming from or if this is some random bug. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Ragnarok Desert Drops Not Spawning Posted: 01 Apr 2019 05:31 AM PDT Hosting a Nitrado server for Xbox, we originally had drops set to Random and have since undone this. I found, or more accurately, didn't find a single one of the 5 red desert drops on Ragnarok. Even seeing some artifact containers on the surface up by Blue Ob but can't open them. I believe these issues are due to the Random Loot Drop setting we had enabled. Is there any way to reset the drops now that we've turned off random? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Ark continues to crash thoughts? Posted: 01 Apr 2019 08:37 AM PDT Asus Rog g752VT - Temps hit 80-82c when playing. After so long normally 10-15 minutes I get a multicolored pink/white/teal mess of a screen, crash then reboot. I have no clue what could be the cause.. anyone else experience this?? | [Lore] Arkopalipsys - Chapter 1 - "First steps" Posted: 01 Apr 2019 06:24 AM PDT Chapter 1 – First steps I woke up. I had some strange implant in my hand. Scratch it for a little, but I couldn't move it. I move up my head to the left then to right and I was … TERRIFIED. A dinosaur! Big alive dinosaur! I was naked and felt myself as an easy prey. Luckily this dinosaur didn't even looked at me. "A vegan", I said to myself. This was my first time I actually liked someone who is a vegan. Start walking and saw Dodo, the bird who won a war against Australia, now was just walking slowly around me with his funny sounds. Beach was good. Since it was really hot I enter the water. Felt good. I walked a little bit more at the beach and I saw familiar face. Naked just like me, wondering whats happening around just like me, he came closer and said 'hi' . It was Petkan! Petkan seemed more experienced than me. He started explaining that we are at isolated island full with dinosaurs and primitive creatures. He said that there are other people, but it is better to stay away from them. He said some of the people tamed dinosaurs and use them in war between each other. I wasn't surprised. We entered the woods and we saw a cabin. It was "raided", as he said. Inside of it we found some valuable stuff like, clothes and melee weapons. Felt a little bit more safe. Petkan showed himself as a good crafter, he made spears for us and other necessary stuff. "Come with me" , he said. Eat fruits, you need food. Also he told me not to eat some black fruits, because I will "get high". Never tried, I am against narcotics and I will ever be! As I turned around I saw him putting his spear in a Dodo. The Dodo fell down quickly and he said "We got to take the meat and hide from it". He pulled out some sort of a small axe and tear up the poor bird. I was speechless. Petkan was a different man. Before all of that happened he was just eating fruits in the forest, trying to escape the predators. Now the predator was him. After a while he killed some small dinosaur, a much scarier thing than the Dodo. The dinosaur fought back, but at the end felt down. We came down to the beach and we saw a house made from rocks! It looked safe. Don't go into the water he said. Just drink if you are thirsty and go away. Don't think you can swim the lake! We go back to the woods and after a while I saw something I couldn't believe my eyes, the earth was shaking, and his long neck was standing out above the trees – Argentinosaur. We were amazed by the look of the creature and in the next moment Petkan said "REX". I knew what REX is and I started running where my eyes see. After 5 seconds I was down and I had the feeling that the big dinosaur was smiling above me. My eyes was shut. I woke up and Petkan wasn't around me. It was night and fast dinosaurs who smelled like fresh meat was walking around. One of them started running against me. I entered the water. I start swimming confidently, like Michael Phelps in his prime and soon I was at the other coast. I was looking at the predator from the other end and I was like "what am I going to do?" I had to start crafting things myself since my buddy Petkan wasn't around. I made myself warm clothes and some kind of a weapon from a wood and stone. I ate some berries and went to sleep. When I woke up I met Petkan again! He was happy as well and said that we need to build a base! Luckily in the civilization I have engineering degree in the university of "H1Z1 – Just Survive". We decided to choose a good spot in the woods, so we can hide. We took the necessary materials and right before we put the foundation … REX! I play on Official PVE, NA Crossplay, and we have been at 255 ping all day every day for about 9 months, with no more than 30 seconds in between lags that last up to 2-3 minutes. is this out of the norm? | [Creature Idea] The Parrot - amazing for RP Posted: 31 Mar 2019 02:25 PM PDT The Parrot is a small sized bird that can sit on your shoulder. Their colorful feathers are a sight to behold, but their intelligence can be astonishing. The Parrot can learn to fly to designated spots to deliver messages by immitating its owners voice or by carrying a letter. This bird is amazingly loyal and requires some sort of password to receive its message. Tribes catching one of these aviaries on its way has no chance of knowing the carried message. Unless they have the Parrots favorite snack, the cracker. This bird will follow its owner anywhere but simply can not resist a tasty treat. Do not underestimate its ability as a shoulder mount, though. Tell your Parrot to attack a close by enemy and it will stun him for a few seconds. Enough for you to make a quick escape or engage in combat. How would this be implemented? - Parrots could use the delivery crate way of getting from point A to point B. - Parrots can listen to your ingame voice and deliver the original message. Of course notes are another way of delivering messages. - The Parrot requires a password, set by the owner, or a cracker to reveal its message. - Other tribes can interrupt a Parrots path. Consume its favorite snack close to it and the bird will follow you. Handfeed it a cracker and you have a certain time span to listen to the message. Listening to the message will make you unable to hurt the bird for 5 minutes and it will continue on its path. Killing it without listening to the message is doable. - The Parrot could receive a special attack. If you launch it off your shoulder onto an enemy it would stun the enemy, just like the Microraptor. Only for a shorter amount of time. This would open up so many opportunities for RP and even PvE could have some fun sending or interrupting messages. Pirates finally would have their most trusted companion and lets be honest. Who wouldn't want a pretty bird whom you can feed sweet crackers too? What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Gacha "ally looking" is bugged? Posted: 31 Mar 2019 04:36 PM PDT Before the obvious is pointed out: no, the Gacha is perfectly happy mood wise. The problem isn't that the Gacha is avoiding looking at me or does that specific animation of looking way, it's that it won't look at me period, unless I get up in its face at very specific angles. And even then it doesn't last more than a few moments. I don't have any mods installed that would interfere with this. It's not a game-breaking thing and is fairly minor, but also came off as strange. Has anyone else had this problem? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Planting X species under water on a raft on the center Posted: 31 Mar 2019 03:21 PM PDT Hey playark community, I'm not sure if it's even possible anymore, but I had come across a video based in the Island, where a raft was able to pull up to the edge of a waterfall with plots, and they were no longer seen as underwater and could be planted with x species. Does anyone know if this has been patched out of the game? If this is still in the game, does anyone know of a waterfall on the Center that isn't blocked off by rocks on the Center? The main one I know of is around the floating island, so I can't get close enough to the edge for the effecy. This is on my PVE server, I have a raft build that's resistant to the leeds, but want to add some plant X to keep them at bay even more than my wood raft build(albeit, it can get to shore at first strike, it still takes damage) Thanks in advance, ins0mniac13 [link] [comments]  | ||
