| Wildcard should review all bans Posted: 03 Apr 2019 09:53 AM PDT This is an email I received from Jat after I helped them fix a bug, and after I stopped playing the game. I noticed a few months later when I loaded the game to play again that they banned me along with many other people. I reached out to support to ask why I was banned, and was told they do not discuss bans or allow appeals. I understand a lot of people are in favor of bans because you imagine that they are banning only dupers/meshers/etc. Hopefully everyone realizes that it could be you getting banned as well and you are in a position to have to beg Wildcard to give you what you paid for. The thing is bans don't work anyways, because the real cheaters just family share their game to an alt account and continue on. It only hurts legitimate players. Edit: Was pointed out blow that family sharing does not work on official like I thought. I still think bans should be reviewed when requested. Wildcard grossed many million $ on this game. As it stands people ON OFFICIAL servers can be caught and banned by wildcard via metrics detection. IF this never gets added to unofficial, they cant use these servers to find holes in the metrics. (This next problem is no concern to official players.) BUT official players may invade as many unofficials as they want to deter them from playing unofficial due to meshing still being a thing. Posted: 03 Apr 2019 05:36 AM PDT I found different answer across the web. - If I pike a door down, does it show? - If I use explosives to destroy structures, does it show? - If I destroy structures with my tames, does it show? - If I destroy structures with my structures (canon etc), does it show? Wanted to create some fun RP scenarios on our server, but if people immediately know whats going on I need to find other ways. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Wildcard, Please Give Consoles Users the Same Features as PC Users Posted: 02 Apr 2019 12:21 PM PDT It's really disheartening that PC users get features which console users don't have, and for this post I'm including the Windows Store version of Ark as part of the "console" crowd. Off the top of my head, console users can't change the blinding lightshafts or bloom effects of the world, even with admin controls because that ability was disabled on console for some reason. Console users can't turn holiday events on and off because that requires launch commands which are inaccessible to console users - even for Windows Store players! Console users can't set up cluster servers on their own because there's no way to set the Cluster ID - even for Windows Store players! I get that Nitrado servers offer some of the missing features to consoles but that's not a replacement for being able to host your own server on a Windows Store version of the game. | Picked players not dying by turrets Posted: 02 Apr 2019 02:04 PM PDT So other day I was getting raided, and every time i picked people on my Griffin and flew them into my turrets, the turrets wouldn't shoot until I dropped them and sometimes not at all. Why is that? [link] [comments]  | ||
