- Was trying to get back to my base after a little bit of scouting on extinction, and then this happened, I'm now stuck under the desert biome, and without an "unstuck"/"stuck"/"kill" command, I can't get out. Thanks game for having the worst teleport barriers

As we know, the ARK text inside of the video originally decoded to "THIS ISNOT ARK2". There's more to it though. Music3.mp3 On the /g/ page, your web browser loads a number of audio files that play music and sound effects in the background. When these audio files were created, they contained metadata from the program that created them. Looking at this file through a hex editor, a program that allows you to see the raw bytes of a file, you can see "ARK_Genesis_Countdown3_ALTERNATE_v2.wav". This file path was (in theory) the original filename of the audio before it was converted to be uploaded online. Here is what that looked like inside of the file. This filepath follows the same name format as Extinction and other maps did, which leads me to believe that this is a new map. For example, the audio file for the Extinction music is Stage 2 video About a day ago, Wildcard released a new video for the /g/ page. There's not much I can say about it right now, but the text spells out "Init AP Uplink". Not sure what that means. Forum user TEM187 mentioned here that it could mean Arat Prime, but I'm not sure what that means. I've heard about it around the forums, but I can't say for sure what it is. If you know what that means, please leave a comment! tl;dr; On the /g/ page, some of the audio files loaded by the game contain the string "ARK_Genesis_Countdown3_ALTERNATE_v2.wav" in the metadata. This was the original name of the imported file. This pathname follows the same format as the Extinction audio data, which leads me to believe that this is a new map. There was also an update to the video files that contain the text "Init AP Uplink" spelled out in the ARK code. You can find out more about the ARK code here. | Devs! Can you please remove pincodes from official ORP servers? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 11:47 AM PDT I know this gets asked a lot but please. It actually single handedly ruins ORP servers. You think cave meta is bad? Add an undestroyable gate blocking the entrance that the tribe inside the cave can acess with pincodes and you will never get passed unless you stare at it for 15 days waiting for them to sign on with their alt account for 2 seconds to refresh that decay timer. Just remove pincodes saves my time saves devs time and makes a much better experience. Heres an example https://youtu.be/IRRUCW15fdY. | What's fun about PVP? (Serious Question, not troll) Posted: 29 Jul 2019 04:57 PM PDT So for the last week iv'e been trying to get into the Multiplayer ark after playing the single player for about 2 weeks. I chose pvp to have the option open for plaver vs player combat so that late-game there would be more to do, but so far it seems like an endless cycle of frustration with no end goal in site. As far as I thought the goal is to beat bosses - Unlock skins and Learn tek engrams to be both stylish and powerful and tame lots of fun creatures and add them to you're roster like pokemon, but in pvp it seems like everyone is just in this eternal lock of grinding resources to break into someone elses base and take the resources that they grinded for (or stole from another), and then when they log of for the same to happen to them, literally un-ending. Or worse to get killed on the beach by a player with massivly overpowerd equipment or tames like those damn dragons, but at that point why tho? It would literally be the same for them to go torture some dodos. But the guys I have played with freindly so far actually enjoy it, but it just seems so pointless to me and a waste of time, so point of the post, what is it I am jsut not seeing/experiencing? | Question about singleplayer ark transfer Posted: 29 Jul 2019 02:04 PM PDT I'm currently on Ragnarok and want to transfer to Valguero. If I upload my character and move to the map, will my base and dinos stay on Ragnarok? I know how to transfer items and dinos, but I just want to bring one flyer when I transfer and leave the rest on Rag. Will the other dinos stay? Will my base be deleted? I've seen a few posts where people will transfer and have issues going back to the map they started on. My other question is that if I bring "up to 50 items" and my one dino, will I have to go to a terminal to get the items or do I spawn with them on the new map? [link] [comments]  | ||
