Ark creature rant: TLCs

I wish WildCard was still doing TLCs for older creatures. Lots of dinos desperately need some overhauling but a couple come to mind right off the bat.

Pteranodon: reskin with updated textures and maybe more flight mechanics? maybe a diving/swooping move like the griffin and snow owl since it's a speedy flyer. Since Pteras already have their spin attack, maybe their swoop can't do damage or does the same amount as the spin.

Carno: updated texture reskin, fixed footstep soundbyte (it stomps so loud!!), and maybe a charging attack like the Trike? I feel like the Carno is tragically neglected and literally no one goes out of their way to tame it. It's like players go straight from a Raptor to an Allo or Rex because the Carno is just so... boring and unformidable.

Pelagornis: no one tames this thing. It needs a reskin, it's as weak as the Pteranodon, slower than the Pteranodon, takes a specialty food not easy to get in abundance early on, and only has one attack. The only thing is has going for it is that it can land on water and does extra damage to fish. So springboard off that and give it a targeting dynamic while flying over water so it can dive into the water and kill fish like the Ichthyornis. That would make it at least somewhat relevant in early/mid-game to gather fish meat for kibble.

Megalodons: please for the love of all that is holy reduce their fucking spawning!! They're huge solitary sharks, they shouldn't be more abundant than coels!! How many times have you been swimming around in the deep, minding your own business and suddenly you're surrounded by like twelve of these douchebags? Reduce their spawning and maybe give them a dynamic like the direwolf where they can sense an injured creature since they're sharks and can smell blood and all that.

Make Insects Relevant Again! A big RIP to all the Araneo saddles I get that go straight into the grinder because why would I ever tame one? They're garbage. They need to not be garbage.

All in all I think all the OG creatures that were released on The Island base game need some reskins. The textures are ugly and outdated and honestly just updating their models would breathe new life into the game IMO.

So the artifact entrance on Valguero where you push the button to open the door to cave, yeah that has a timer on it. I tried flying out but got smashed under the door and now my character is glitched in the door and I can't move or anything. My ptera was able to get out but now I have to wait for my tribe member to log on to push the button so I'm free. Beware people, beware.

So i decided to build a NPC mod that is as close to players as possible. The mod is "usable" despite the current workshop logo , It's in early days for the most part with a release date of the 15/08. I would like to build a pc and wanna know what I need to run Ark on epic settings and all details on max with at least 60 FPS on a 1920x1080p 144Hz Monitor. I wanna definitely go for Intel and NVIDIA.

Safe valguero server?

So as you all know, insecure alphas have long been the enemy of the simple unsuspecting thatch hut... I haven't played ark in a while but when valguero came out I fancied a go at a fresh server where the alpha would likely be undecided. Much to my disappointment, 4 days after map release was way to late and alphas were already established and unmovable. What's worse is that they all seem to be feeling insecure with their positions; wiping any and all players they come across from the previously mentioned thatch to the small-medium stone bases with their very first turret... despite having heavy turret riddled tek bases and max lvl wyverns themselves.

Is anyone aware of an EU server on PC in which I can enjoy valguero and it's genuine pvp experience rather than a one sided wipe like a recently smeared anus with toilet paper?

P.S. I've transferred my character across loads of servers and I'm yet to not be wiped within a week.

Question regarding raw Mutton in Feeding Troughs

Hey there,

So im playing on an unofficial PvE Cluster, some boosted rates like hatch/gather etc.

Yesterday I slaughtered around 40 Ovis that i prepped for weeks to get lots of hide for Boss saddles. A byproduct of this was TONS of mutton as well, more than we ever could store.

So we asked ourselves: (and Google couldnt answer) Cant we just put all of that raw mutton into our troughs INSTEAD of raw normal meat, which we kind of struggle to get enough from? We also have lots of Prime, just not the normal meat so it would be pretty convenient if we just could use mutton or prime to take over the troughs.
