| How do you teach your friends to play? Posted: 22 Nov 2019 12:04 PM PST I got into ark way back when it was in pre-release on the Xbox store with some friends, and ark was hard enough learning it at that point before the past few years of content addition. Imo, ark isn't very noob friendly, and although dying a lot at first is just part of learning, I know a lot of people who would get turned off the game because of it. I wanna buy the game for some friends this Xmas and get them into it, bc I love the game. But I've tried getting friends into it before and teaching them, but I never seem to get it to work, and I always feel like I'm the one doing all the work while everyone kind of just watches, but never tries in their own. I've tried getting them to watch videos, read through the tutorial, hundreds of methods of teaching, but to no avail. I want the people I buy it for this Xmas to actually enjoy and get a solid play through in with them, but how should I go about teaching them? | Official Offline Protection is a Joke Posted: 22 Nov 2019 07:34 AM PST First time in a long time rolled on a Official Offline Protection server. Most starting areas are a massive desert of foundations. It legit looks sad. First shame on those who do it and to Wild Card for using this system. Instead use a land claim block system that is limited to one per player for offline protection. Not to mention it will remove the need for each item to have it own decay timer. Cause keeping track of one timer in a area over hundreds would make to much sense and reduce lag. [link] [comments]  | ||

On top of that, the turrets get drained way top fast making your hard earn ARB dissapear like water on scorched earth. Bobs will spend days making the stuff only to get raided offline in minutes. Something has to be adressed on the difficulty to make these. Keep in mind for bobs dont last long enough to get to tek. They have to join a bigger tribe then leave when theyve gotten the engrams. Heavies should shoot 1 bullet at a time . Not 4. They should deal the same damage they do now. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 22 Nov 2019 06:27 AM PST So I know that boss difficulty scales up as you raise the max dino. My question is, is this an even scale? Does raising or lowering the difficulty chance how difficult a boss is? With a difficult override of 1 and max level 30 dinos, would it be easier or harder to kill the bosses compared to the standard max of 150? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 21 Nov 2019 08:21 PM PST I host a private server for my friends and I, through Arkservers.io, and I had the baby mature speed set to 8, and didn't even touch baby cuddle interval, and when a baby was born, they had a 1 hour imprint timer and once imprinted they gained 100% imprinting, I liked this, but now, for some reason, when we hatch rexes, the imprinting timer is 8 hours, like on official, I tried messing with cuddle interval to try to squeeze in the right amount of imprints, but the math is confusing af and some dinos didn't have the option to fully imprint like they did before, where the game seemed to almost do it automatically, does anyone know why this happened? No events are active on the server and I never changed any breeding settings from before so i'm not sure why this happened. [link] [comments]  | ||

Bunch of turkeys agroed on me but I think the others wondered off? Only the one made it up the hill. So anyway turrets if you don't have a high level gigga. | I'm getting harassed pve68 by other players. Posted: 21 Nov 2019 02:28 PM PST I am on official Ragnarok 68 pve. They told me if I don't take down my pillars they will report me. They said I put down to many and I am to close to their base. It is like the entire server is joining in a witchhunt after me. I swear I did not do anything. I only said I managed to kill one turkey. Suddenly they went crazy. Oh, and that I left my server to join theirs because someone pushed me out with the raft bed trick so I could not teleport to my base anymore. They said they would report me and get me kicked from the game. They brought their dragon over and breathed fire on me while I tried to mine for metal. Then they just stood with their player character on my base not moving like weird. Also, I think the one who is ring leading them might be the one who did the raft trick because they got real interested in me explaining how that happens then said right afterwards they did that very thing to someone.
