| The Dodorex, truly is a monster. Posted: 02 Nov 2020 07:38 AM PST TLDR: Dodorex took almost everything from me. Not looking for sympathy but I do indeed need comfort. I play on PvE Single-player, sometimes switching to PvP to get rid of unwanted babies from breeding. I was out looking for a female thylacoleo (at night, yes, its more fun that way in my view) for me to get color mutations. I was searching on my ember Crystal Wyvern that I had transferred to The Island. I found a message out of the blue: THE DODOREX..IS HERE.. I payed no attention to it since I don't really do events that include holidays and such. But I immediately regretted it, because I remember how the Dodorex could spawn pretty much everywhere. I had 4 separate bases on my server. 5 if I should include the volcano. I took off into my bases one by one. Herbivore Island, all good. Flat spot by Green Obelisk, all good. Redwoods, all good. Hidden Oasis, nope. That's when I realized, my entire population of valued dinosaurs were all living there. I was going to use cheats to destroy it, however I was promising myself NO MATTER WHAT that I'd play legit. My dinosaurs were on wander enjoying themselves, and so, my diplodocus started the end of my sanctuary. She got too close, the Dodorex had become aggro, and began to shred my beloved ones. My basilisk, my beautiful, Queen, could only get 3 bites before she was burned to death. My amazing Reaper King slowed the Dodorex with the ranged attack and let everyone else get in to help, but he was also drowned in flame with a few of my other dinosaurs. I could not do anything, like literally I was just frozen to what was being subjected to me. All my close companions being consumed by death, all my mutations and imprints were all going down the drain. I couldn't go down to help after witnessing how easily the Dodorex destroyed everyone. Everyone but one dinosaur survived. My first Deinonychus from the day Valguero released, still surprised he lived this long. Everyone else was gone except for him, I immediately picked him up and took him far away from the Oasis. I'm not going back on The Island for a while now. I appreciate those who read this, I would like to say I'm sorry to those who suffered the same fate as me. In the end I'm really glad my dinosaurs at my other bases survived, but this was the ONLY event that hurt me in so many ways. I really hope the next TLC in a few days will cheer me up. | Posted: 02 Nov 2020 09:44 AM PST You can still gasbag ORP dinos Place C4 on dinos(manas tail) stick it through a turret tower and cryo it and the c4 stays inside the tower and as turrets don't shoot when your base is orp, soon as you log on Boom every destroyed you can still pull from ORP tek storage people still ORP caves because you refuse to remove pincodes. the list goes on but i guess this will never get awknolaged so it's pointless putting all the effort in to list them. | Metal-Dude, Chia-Hulk and Darth Molly walk into a bar... Posted: 02 Nov 2020 09:27 AM PST (single player, xbox) I've had Genesis for over a month and hadn't been in the Arctic or Lava biomes yet. I decided to see what the bear and Sasquatch selection was. My first visit was a crash introduction to ferox's. I'd forgotten they were in the game and had only seen them in screenshots of their large form anyways. Imagine my shock when I see a little red outline through my Tek Helmet and think to myself, "aww, look, little snow jerboa is angry and needs helps". After that first trip, I kept element in my hot bar and two visits later, Darth Molly was the first lvl 150 I came across. Tbh, I could barely see her and had no idea what color she was until I dumped her pod back at base. On the first and second visits, I scored [the parents]()https://i.imgur.com/MhmV3kN.jpgthat that produced Chia-Hulk on their third attempt. Adding vampire eyes helmet skins to them also a fun little detail th is to the event. | Game keeps crashing on pc (xbox games pass version) Posted: 02 Nov 2020 01:14 AM PST My friends game keeps crashing when she tries to put down a storage box, i assume its the same for when trying to place any other structure. Does anyone know why this is? I dont believe it a specs issue, but I could be wrong. In case it matters, we were playing on my non-dedicated server, which ive had no problem hosting before. | Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:13 PM PST I recently started a cluster myself with Ragnarok and Genesis to begin with. Upon traveling to the volcanic area I realised no X-Rex were spawning but the plain old normal rex. Evrry other creature in this biome spawns its X-variant but the rex. Is this another side effect of the fear evolved event? Im using Krakens Better Dino mod and Ark Additions on my cluster, but I dont know why they wojld interfere. I'm not going to be picky about who anyone will do. And since I'm not new I know how grindy the game is and I'm willing to put work in however I've grown up since I used to play and I can't put long days into the game anymore but I am an efficient tamer and I've had my fair share of pvp defense and raids. | Posted: 01 Nov 2020 08:29 PM PST Sometimes the hardest part of the pve minigames is dealing with the minor annoyances that I think could be easily fixed. 1) orbital supply drops a few of these locations are bugged and things get stuck. I can't even go look because leave render for half a second and it's gone. 2) lower level veins-kinda like 1 but it seems to take longer to do a 25k than a 50 because half the stuff is just stuck somewhere 3) the escort genesis missions please make the range 30-40 instead of 20. These missions call for a giga yet if you aren't right on top of the tame it suddenly doesn't know where you are [link] [comments]  | ||

ARK: ExtinctionARK: AberrationARK: Scorched Earth The others are free it seems like, so my question here is, are they important expansions if I buy the base game? I don't understand how the game goes yet, so I don't know if the expansions are like something you actually need to buy to unlock more history, quests, maps or stuff like that. I appreciate any suggestions you have so I have an idea before buying the game from Steam. Thank you! PD: Also do expansions work like World of Warcraft expansions? Is something like that or nah? In some (many) online games you can crate multiple characters for your account, and switch between them. But from google it seems that Ark prohibits this (for some reason... more sales?) and requires you to purchase the game again for each new character you want on the same server. The reason is I want to make different characters for example I'd like specialized crafting character. Im not interested in joining other tribes or working/playing much with other people, except for my kids who sometimes play with me (on their own accounts, but far from enough to sustain other roles, and they dont have much interest in crafting anyway for example, so I would like to control that role myself too).
