| Is it hopeless for a new player? Posted: 28 Dec 2020 04:02 PM PST My friends and I picked up the game a few days ago and we've had such a hard time getting started on any server. All we're looking for is a Ragnarok or The Island server with low ping. But it seems like every PvE server is so pillar spammed that we can't build anywhere, and/or so overdeveloped that the server lags regardless of the ping. PvP servers were no better, as although we could build a tiny base, it was raided three times by three different wyvern-backed parties within the same playing session (~3 hours). This was on a "low population" PvP server too (under 10 people). We were really excited about the game, but we're feeling pretty discouraged by the inability to build any structures on PvE servers and the inability to progress on PvP servers, regardless of their size. Is there something I'm missing here? How does a new player/clan even get started, let alone progress? [link] [comments]  |
| Is there a dino level cap, or is it the rapture? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 06:27 AM PST I just heard that dinos over level 450 will disappear when the server restarts. Is this a bug? Is this a desperate hotfix that will be removed in a few days? I mean, seriously, what kind of level cap is that? Shouldn't to be easy to prevent a dino from leveling from 450 to 451? Like every other game in existence does? I'm sure it has to be one line of code (or so). Is the player/human level cap at 155 an open-ended cap too? When I reach level 155, do I have to stop gaining XP or my human will disappear? [link] [comments]  |
