| So whats up with Ferox breeding? Posted: 17 Mar 2021 02:55 AM PDT When Ferox transform they dont keep their stats... I've been told they randomly distribute their statpoints into all stats when transforming. Is this correct? What does this mean for mutations? Should I aim to mutate the melee stat specifically, and then it will have a higher melee stat when transforming or should I just keep every mutation because that increases the overall stats? I could just start a new game on a new map,, but can I also go to let's say the Island without melding the mods together? Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:39 AM PDT So it's my first time playing Ark and I've realised that there is a large mystery factor to the game. Kinda wanted to keep it that way. But I just breeder a raptor and it asked for prime meat jerky. I don't want to break my one rule but I also have no clue if there is any info inside of ark which tells you how to make recipes like jerky or how to make the best food using the cooking pot. | Posted: 16 Mar 2021 02:24 PM PDT When I first started my single player journey I had a hell of a time finding oil. Before I had a flyer, I was killing trilobites and tek dinos. Even after I had a flyer, I had to wait until after I crafted my first fur suit to fly up north (on the island) to find the oil nodes. It was all so tedious. I was always looking up tips on YouTube and Reddit to find ways to get it. I know you can get it underwater but I haven't done much of the underwater stuff yet. Out of all the tips I encountered I don't think I EVER saw one for using hesperornis eggs. I thought I'd share in case there were other noobs like me who didn't know. Anyway, I recently tamed a couple of hesperornis so I could start making extraordinary kibble; since the golden egg is the only way to do that on the island. (Edit: okay not the ONLY way, but a hesperornis is a way easier tame than a Yuti, and you are much more likely to find hesperornis early-game) I discovered that if you cook the regular, non-golden eggs in an industrial cooker (or cooking pot with water) they turn into oil! It's now so easy to just have a couple close by and harvest the eggs for oil and make gasoline. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 16 Mar 2021 02:49 PM PDT So im just about to finish the island, only have to kill the overseer and am done, so i was planning to play the maps in chronological order and scorched earth is next, i did a trial run and i was completely lost, between dont having the least idea where i should make a base or what to do. Rn im lvl 107, and already unlocked every engram of scorched earth, i can bring some supplies just in case and am planning on bringing an argy to help me transport myself. So what are your suggestion for base locations, things i should bring (more like a kit than thousands of resources), and if you have some suggestions on how to survive it would be appreciated.
