| A few questions in regards to co-op play, saving, and difficulty level Posted: 30 Jun 2021 09:43 AM PDT I am trying to find a new survival game for my son (13) and I to play together. I noticed ARK just went on sale for 10 bucks so it peaked my interest. I watched some video's and read a few reviews and I am still unsure of a few things. First of all do you have to play on an online server? And is it possible to just play co-op only with my son and have the ability to save our progress? Lastly I have read that there is a steep learning curve. Even if so is it "fun" to keep pushing through it, or does it become taxing without pure dedication. [link] [comments]  | ||

I recently installed it on epic games to play with a friend, but when I start the game, it's connected trough steam and not epic games itself. (I can install mods etc...) I am really interested in the Story of ark and want to experience it myself via defeating the bosses and finding Notes etc. So my question is: Should we transfer our dinos to the Island in order to defeat the bosses chronologically or does it not matter at all?
