    Me and my friend was playing official PvP we had gotten a metal base and a lot of dinos. Some random lvl 450 Managarmr just came and killed all of our Dinos, and us. But didn't do anything to the base. Why is this?

    For those true veterans that played since 2015, you know what I'm talking about. You couldn't clone to death a dino nor could you buy a super OP one for cheap, in fact having just a few mutations in the early days was rare, now its common to have 29083475209383024234. I remember to safeguard a tame in a bad area, I either had a quetz with a rex I'd fly over if I were lucky or I'd have to use a raft. It made the map feel so much larger but also a lot more dangerous.

    I just really really miss the old days of Ark. I'm done with this Ark, I've squeezed everything I can out of it (I'm not saying those reading this should quit, I doubt most have played nearly as much as I have), I don't like the end game hoarder sim anymore.

    Personal statistics for those interested:

    Out of nearly 300 steam friends, about 90% are from Ark, 100% of those Ark players I met on PVE, 30% I met pre-launch and the rest after launch. About 60% of them were my tribe mates at one point. The rest just really good friends, trading partners, etc.

    Pre-Cloning Chambers, Cryopods the top reason people quit playing is they simply didn't have enough time for Ark (I agree with this, but only for breeding). Post TEK tech, the top reason was boredom mostly because all they did was breed and it was now on easy mode. The people still playing Ark are avid breeders. They enjoy having libraries of colours for every dino in the game so when a new event happens, they have to try to collect all. That's about 3 people out of 270.

    Everyone I knew that were veterans mostly just sat at their bases, people would say "go out and tame" and the response was "tame what, I have everything" and the reason why they had everything was because breeding and taming became so so easy.

    I just hope for middle ground and I hope they have rare dinos like the Workshop mod, it means colours are instead a rare siting rather than locked behind events. It gets everyone out so they can get that rare colour, its amazing yet simple!
