| How to know when building needs repair other than by looking? Posted: 24 Sep 2021 10:25 AM PDT I'm fairly new to Ark, and I wanted to know if there is a fast way to know when a building needs repairing? I have built a several story house and see that occassionally I see that a floor, wall, or door needs repairing. However I'd like to know just by looking at one place, rather than walking around the whole house to see what walls or other structures need repairing. Am I missing something obvious? Posted: 24 Sep 2021 04:59 AM PDT I'm reaching that point in game where I'm not quite endgame but close on The Island (did Gamma and Beta Megapithecus, hoping to tackle Broodmother this weekend). But I'm trying for the Zoologist trophy where you tame all the tamables. I've been checking the Wiki's spawn map and that's been a huge help, but any other tips/tricks to help get the creature you want to spawn? Other than spamming destroywilddinos and hoping for the best? I'm trying to not use the gm summon on them if I can because I like having the challenge of finding and taming-- it's probably one of my favorite parts in the game. Also slightly related question: does the unicorn count as an equus or its own creature? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  | ||

| lost everything due to the game getting stuck Posted: 23 Sep 2021 10:22 PM PDT so i was playing with a friend on crystal isles and we went to ragnarok to beat the lava elemental we beat it, went outside where there was a tek transmitter we used to go back to crystal isles, but my game got stuck loading (for like 5-10 minutes) so i decided to restart it and after that my character fucking got vaporized as if it never existed, there was no dead body, there was no spawn on either ragnarok or crystal isles, it just prompts me to start from scratch also apparently my character still exists as the owner of a tribe but i cant get to access it in any way, gg ark i doubt i can do anything about this but i just felt like complaining update: downloading the character was the fix [link] [comments]  | ||
| Why is it waterskins are so bad in this game? Posted: 24 Sep 2021 10:54 AM PDT The idea that you could make all this other sophisticated gear including guns, and other advanced items but for some reason waterskins leak like nothing else is silly. A water tight water skin isn't harder to make then a functioning gun. I'm not asking for a perfect waterskin just a little less leakage if possible. | How to stop Defense Units from attaking my dinos. Posted: 23 Sep 2021 02:39 PM PDT They seem to attack anything. That theory that they attack anything they see as a threat is not true casue while I was building a stone defense perimeter for my dinos, I saw one kill a dodo with my own eyes. The thing is they are now attacking all my dinos, and I read the wiki and it seems they can break even tek so there is no way to protect them from the defense units? We are playing with single player settings in a non dedicated server just the two of us, and they almost kill our tames more than once. We don't wanna go gather some resources and come back to see our dinos die. Is there no way to disable them from attaking our dinos? [link] [comments]  | ||
