    Had a friend bug me to teach him how to play ark on official servers, since I used to run an alpha tribe on legacy. Gave it a go with him, built out of the way and small to teach him the ropes before he joins a real tribe. Had a decent thing going for him, he was honestly having fun.

    I was picking up his tames after he got off, and I got pinged by a low level parasaur. I'm on a small desolate island a kilo of shore, so I poked up already guessing what was coming.

    A wyvern and mana-banana thing were staring at my base and started blasting away. I logged because it didn't mean much to me; just some cheap flyers and an anky.

    But that new potential community member is going to abandon the game since he'll wake up to all his tames and buildings gone in the morning.

    I'm not really too bothered, the two man trolling party for cross server mindless destruction is certainly nothing new to me. But it got me thinking about how the game sunk and popularity for the casual gamer disappeared. We kinda did it to ourselves, huh?

    All the pointless wars, ddos attacks, meshing, duping, insiding; we made the game nearly unplayable on official servers.

    I suppose I just have a 'stepped away' wider perspective at this point.

    Best of luck to anyone who is still at the tip of the spear, and I hope you're all still accommodating the new guys so the game stays alive.

    Question about the new kibble system.

    I've played Ark for a couple years but never got into the kibble system until now. I have a bunch of dodo's for eggs, but their eggs only make regular kibble, my snow owl's egg makes superior kibble, but what dino provides a steady supply of eggs for the good kibble, and is regular kibble any better than raw prime meat or mutton? I can only find stuff online about the kibble system from 2-3 years a go.

    And dont forget if you beat it over the head with a bat, shoot it with a nyquil arrow, punch it a few times, or if you stab it with your giant scorpion friend it can be yours. And it cries a lot but thats due to the brain damage, not the rain. . .

    Got a male by the skin of my teeth tonight. Defended tame against a raptor, Crock and two snakes.. Triplets made the stress all worth it. ❤️. (Lvl 108. 2700hp, 231 dmg. Vanilla x2. Looks like we’re finally heading to the caves!!!)

    Want to join a new server!

    Looking to reinstall ARK and try to get my friend to join me in purchasing it. So, how should i convince him? [he likes rust but cant get it on Xbox ]. When i do install again, does anybody have any nice Xbox servers for me and possibly him to join? Hopefully looking for a Ragnarok or island map with not too many buffs so that I can enjoy the game. Also don't want mega bases everywhere I go. Only want to run into other people every so often. GMT if that matters. Thanks!

    Played ark on PS4 since start of legacy. Got my pc last fall and played atlas for a bit. Just getting back into ark on pc now.

    Have put enough hours in to know the controls. Looking for people to play with.
