    Ideas For Single Player

    K so ive only ever played pvp on ark and i decided i wanna try the game for what it actually is a dinosaur survival game so i decided im gonna try single player and do things like fight the bosses collect explorer notes tame as much stuff as i can but what are some other fun things that you solo players do? Like challenges or activities, also idk what to do for rates i dont wanna spend days raising stuff but i dont want it to take minutes like a giga taking like 12 hours to raise

    Need some tribemates that are very active and willing to help put in the work needed to be done in order to achieve our goal of reigning supreme over the entire server. Currently the alphas are very toxic and hypocrits. Servers been up only 2 weeks so they aren't really "alphas" just bums who tame the titan every chance they get.

    I've got 2 decent tribemates and an alliance with another 4 man tribe.

    PS4 No sessions found

    No unofficial PC sessions show up in the search. It worked yesterday and I can search and find any other session like official or player dedicated. Anyone else had this issue? I changed my PSN name today, but Ark is listed as no known issues for that.

    State of the Game? (Haven't played since 2017)

    EDIT: The title should say Haven't played much since 2017, I have played since then, but nowhere near as extensively.

    So during 2016-2017 my wife and I played a lot of Ark (both of us put hundreds of hours in). We mainly played unofficial PvE with mods. (S+, Classic Flyers after the nerf, Upgrade Table, etc.) We mainly focused on building and taming, with a few excursions into the caves. Never did any of the bosses, though we planned on eventually doing them. We both got a bit tired of the game after a while though, I'd say around the time it left Early Access on PC. I haven't kept up with the game much, but I've been looking a bit at installing it again and giving it another try. What's changed since release. I'm aware of the 2 new DLCs, apparently there's a bit more to the story now, and there've been other updates to some of the creatures and mechanics. What have I missed in the last year and a half?

    A few specific questions I have are:

    • How's performance these days? Is it any better than the EA days? (I have a mid-level PC, GTX 960 graphics for reference)
    • I think I saw that S+ got added to the base game? How much of it got added?
    • How's it play single-player or with only a few people? And how much is dependent on your configs?
    • Any mods that are considered "must-have" these days? I remember S+ and it's related mods basically being required if you wanted to actually be able to enjoy building.
