    I came back to playing ark after not playing for a couple years and found that the bonuses that my tames were getting to their melee were in the 13-17% range instead of the 4-6% range that they used to be before. I figured that maybe a change was made to melee because it is statistically inferior in combat to just pumping health every single time. But it seems there was a new setting that was introduced in my time off that I was unaware of at the time.

    Through some research I found that the "use single player settings" box that didn't previously exist, makes the bonuses to health and melee for dinos over double what they are in vanilla ark. These dino stats seem especially large, and I'm not sure how I feel about them. I looked online and wanted to see what people thought of this new setting, and a large part of the comments are more or less "OH MAI GAWD THE DIFFICULTY OFFSET RUINS EVERYTHING" commenting on how the difficulty and difficulty offset makes dinos inherently lower level and makes it too easy. Now, it might make the game too easy, and that's something I am concerned about, but just checking the "maximum difficulty" box overrides the changes to the difficulty offset and difficulty settings changes made by the single player settings box. I don't think many people realize this when they comment on the single player settings, and think you are doomed to only see max level 30 dinos in the wild if you use that setting.

    Yes, it does make the dinos have insane stats compared to otherwise, but that sort of makes sense to make up for not having a tribe and making bosses more possible to defeat by yourself. What do you guys think? I'd like to see what you guys think about the setting for those of you that play single player.

    Don't you just hate it when you log in, and you're dead? Doesn't sound bad? I mean if you are in the early game, fair enough, but when you log in to your base that's decently far into the game and you have died with no way of getting your items back because they despawned and no clue how you died? Also im annoyed because i dyed my armour, and it was actually pretty good, so. This is me just being annoyed.
