Scorched Earth introduced wyvern, but is by far the worst map for wyvern hunting Posted: 11 Aug 2019 10:10 AM PDT It's actually sad that the Scorched earth DLC is where wyvern were introduced, yet it's so bad for wyvern egg hunting it's not even worth your time to fly through it. The SE trench is much bigger, has 3x the wild wyverns, but only spawns a fraction of the eggs. On top of that the level distribution is broken, so majority of the time the eggs are super low level. Ragnarok and Valguero both stole the wyvern trench from SE, so there's tons of egg spawns, less wild wyverns and they have a significantly higher chance of being a good level. Seeing as how Scorched Earth was the stepping stone to fund all the other DLC, it'd be nice if Wildcard didn't abandon it like an unwanted child. submitted by /u/Kaykon [link] [comments]

The year before, Aberration was also being released in December so we got the significantly watered down Witches Curse event as they were also focusing on that DLC. Now that Genesis is also releasing in December, I'm not feeling tremendously optimistic about a return of the fantastic Fear Evolved events. We've not seen the decorations or the almighty Dodorex in some years, and with the titans that have been released in the game since he was last around, is he even that imbalanced to bring into the game permanently, hmmmmm? Don't think we've forgotten about this! You might well see it become canon somewhere within the third Expansion! Anyway, I would love to be proven wrong Wildcard, this event is great and comes with the best menu music. Here's to hoping the Dodorex & friends return with at least some of the decorations in some form. Booted up ark as usual, selected valguero (which had the little icon meaning there was save data present) logged in to find the create a character screen and no beds available on the respawn map. Wipe Official PvP servers before Genesis @Wildcard Posted: 11 Aug 2019 08:47 AM PDT If wildcard want to label genesis as the new chapter in arks future then they also need to start a new chapter on official servers as well. Xbox and PC are filled with duped structures at this point it's a joke. Back in legacy people used to dupe elevator pads and demo them for mats. Now people dupe tek moonpools and demo them for mats. Its legacy 2.0 at this point on officials. Duping has been happening for over a year now on officials, nothing has changed from legacy other then people are better at hiding it now. Bloodlines are also and issue. Racers with 150k+ hp, gigas with 1k melee, rhinos with 2k melee, tapes with extremely high hp which only makes tek tapes more op, the bloodlines at this point in the game are ridiculous and make it harder to balance pvp. Lastly the player base. I once saw Ced the community manager say that they are afraid of losing players because of a wipe which is just mind blowing to me. What happens everytime wildcard adds fresh servers...they are capped. Because everyone loves a fresh start and a new chance to create something. Everytime I ask someone to come back to official pvp they always say if they wipe ill come back. But maybe I'm wrong, what I suggest at the least would be to have an official poll on the ark forums and let the people decide if they would rather have a wipe or not. To not wipe before Genesis would be ashame because it wouldnt be as enjoyable as it could be. Changing tribe and tribe logs Posted: 11 Aug 2019 08:13 AM PDT If I change tribe what happens to the tribe log? As in I'm going to be changing tribe (say tribe A to tribe B) soon and I'm working a sneaky plan to raid tribe C but to do so before swapping to tribe B. Would the tribe log for the people I raided say "bobz tribe A destroyed your plant pot" Or would it depend which tribe I am currently in? Any information out there for the Cave Meta changes Posted: 10 Aug 2019 11:00 PM PDT Just wondering if there is something I missed or what are peoples thoughts on what they will do about the cave meta. I feel that if they don't up the current turret limit but nerf living in a cave the smaller tribes that don't have 24/7 coverage will not be able to survive. I see people say that everyone went to caves when the titans got released but that isn't true. Everyone started going to caves when the turret limit happened. Posted: 10 Aug 2019 06:09 PM PDT Its nice to have an ally or innactive rank. But that just isnt enough sometimes . I need these people to help defend a fob sometimes. But rather not risk them entering the main base. I dont know how else to put it but im sure this could help in the fight vs insiding. Have the settings have target the players depending of what rank they are or add a setting to the turrets as well as to the rank to make certain turrets target players where they shouldnt be. TIFU by breeding Dimetrodons and forgetting about it Posted: 10 Aug 2019 12:04 PM PDT This FU started a few weeks ago but I just now realized the ramifications. I started on a new PvE server with my wife and built a tree base. Was curious if I could do a Wyvern hatch from only Dimetrodons so I started taming. Tamed 3 (2 female, 1 male), breed another female (up to 3 now) and leveled melee like crazy cause I hear their insulation levels off that. We stopped playing frequently on the server a couple weeks back. Just now I logged in to feed all dinos and heard "large" footsteps walking around. Weird... I don't have my dinos on wander and wild ones can't get up here. Come to find out it was a baby Dimetrodon. I had left all 4 on wander so about every other day or they laid an egg, and since their insulation stats were high enough the egg would hatch, then the baby would eventually die cause nobody was logged on. Can't believe I killed so many babies... TLDR: Unknowingly setup a Dimetrodon circle of death where they hatched their own eggs for weeks. Transfering valguero tames out Posted: 10 Aug 2019 08:40 PM PDT So one of my tribe mates recently tamed an ice golem on valguero. He uploaded it, but couldn't download it onto center and he obviously couldn't take it back to valgeuro, so it died in upload. Is it just me or are fab snipers broken on ps4? Posted: 10 Aug 2019 01:06 PM PDT I play official and I am 1 - 2 tapping people in the body with 220 faby while there in high tier armor I would see maybe 1 or 2 shot head shots but body shots?
