    Gigantopithecus should be able to hold swords or pickaxes like the mantis. Where can I get a dev to see this? I'm just a man with a gigantopithecus army and I want swords on them along with the flak helmets lol.

    3rd Week with ARK PC PVP Offical

    TLDR - After three week we are finally in a good place. Looking for suggestions for next steps - Official Servers.

    Ark is an emotional rollercoaster. It has been a struggle the past few week to find a way in ark. Getting raided all the time, dealing with tribe issues, moving servers. But, now we have found our way. We got two tribe mates that know what to do. Have reasonable expectations. We are set up in a tough to raid spot that is hard to see.
    The weekend started getting flyers. Grinded taming resources and FOB (Forward Operations Base). Made a new survivor and started on a low ping Ragnarok server. Of course the server is NA but all the chat is labeled with Chinese's characters. This is perfect location for taming. My play time and the Chinese's are off cycle. Should be fine.
    Tried to get to red OB to get the stuff but could not. Carnos, Terror Birds, would not allow my level 8 self get there. I had to stick it out and grind to get a Equus. Then guess what i see. A Unicorn. It is level 25. But who cares. It is a unicorn. Can't tame it yet because I am level 8 and I need to be level 10. You gain XP for anything in ark so I work towards a higher level by getting my FOB set up. Reach level 15 and tame two equus and that Unicorn. Stash the unicorn in a waterfall and build a boat. Get on the raft and get my stuff and upload the unicorn. The tribe mates were so stoked. They had not seen one before and this way my first unicorn tame.
    Then I set up the FOB in the waterfall. Due to clipping issues and water, I totally screw it up. I cannot set the bed down because it is in the water even though it appears it is not. And I cannot place the door and ceiling due to the way the mesh is shaped. Arrgh.
    Get to the real work of Ark and tame four high level Pteranodons. All of them MALE. Use those to get to where the Argies spawn near Viking Bay. Tame two high levels there both FEMALE.
    Get back to home server with the birds and we do not have enough Chitin for saddles. My tribe mates have been busy. They set up the farm and Plant X for defense. We then do the typical stuff like metal runs and setting up satellite hidden crafting bases. Get primitive armors. We get visited while out and about by cross server raiders when we were taming an Ankey. They raided a ton of people but, left us alone and gave us narcotics to help tame that Ankey. What luck!
    We went out as a tribe to that Ragnarok server and got a high opposite genders flyers and tamed another equus. I love those beasts.

    Recommendations? So, we are now set up. We have a good farm, Turrets that are almost full of ammo to protect our dinos. A breeding and hatching area. What is your recommendations for next actions? Should we set up for off server raiding by get even better tames like wyverns, Griffons and Manas? Build even better defenses by getting cliff platforms in Abberation and farming the crap out of turrets and metal buildings? Start preparing for the boss fights by getting the right dinos?

    Should I pony up and make scuba gear? I've farmed the deep sea crates in the desert but no guns in 2+ weeks. I kinda need it to get into doing caves
