Ark PS4 When you start playing Ark

So i accidentally exited my game with the minimap in my hand (visible/looking at it) and after some testing here's what i found.

When you want to exit your game

Open your minimap and hold it
Open the pause menu
Click exit to main menu
Exit the game (close application) Only when in the main menu, where the join and host buttons are

Do this every time you want to close the game, i'm not sure why this works but i'm a whole month without having my minimap being wiped.
