| Posted: 14 Feb 2020 08:51 AM PST Very new to ark. Just rented my first server for me and 2 of my friends. Been having a lot of trouble with getting kicked from server. My internet is great. Ping is always sub 40 when I log on. But this past week without fail me and my friends will play for 30 minutes to an hour and then proceed to get kicked repeatedly. It becomes so frustrating we end up pausing the server and trying again the next day. I reset it. I clear the cache. Next day same thing. I've heard from an acquaintance that it could be the mass farming of materials we do. But I only have harvesting turned up 3x. I see all kinds of servers pop up with 10x and 20x harvesting so I can't imagine that's the issue. Anyone of any insight for a rookie server owner? Edit: we are on The Island. | Posted: 14 Feb 2020 10:28 AM PST Is it possible for creatures not to spawn on a map even though they can? I play on a host local setting and have been play valguero for a while and there are no thylas anywhere. I've flown all over the red woods and traveled them tons on the ground and they are no where to be found. I've checked every tree and around all the mountains in the redwoods. They've all gone extinct. Does this ever happen where a certain type of creature never spawns? Never saw a rock drake in the ab cave but I heard they got rid of those... [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 13 Feb 2020 11:29 PM PST Stopped playing Ark about 1-2 years ago, last time playing was as part of a mega on several different official servers. I'm thinking of playing again but don't like certain aspects of mega tribes so am thinking of starting over on small tribes as to avoid mega tribes on normal PVP official servers. How does playing on official PVP vs small tribes differ these days? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Wild wyverns kicking me off my wyvern Posted: 13 Feb 2020 05:11 PM PST This has happened 4 times now in the scar. I'm fighting wild wyvern then all of a sudden I get kicked off my wyvern. I used to put on a gas mask and just kill wyverns in scar but now it's not looking so safe. Anyone else? [link] [comments]  |
