Thoughts on Genesis and the next DLC

I've been struggling to really get into Genesis.

I think there are some really good additions such as the the new flora and i really like the atmosphere of the individual biomes - especially the verticality of some of them. I also enabled flying on my server and this also made the DLC more enjoyable.

I really dislike the disjointed nature of the seperated biomes. The lack of vastness is lost and the maps feel somewhat claustrophobic. All things I'm sure have been repeated continually by many of you.

The real point i wanted to get to is the next DLC. I think it would be very cool if they redid The Island map using all the new biome effects and floras, plus added in all the unique biomes and dinos from all the DLC's and just made the map bigger. Not a one for one either, revamp the terrain as well. Possible even have a story based event that reshapes the landscape somewhat.

The Island 2.0 - bigger, better, beastier

I want to start a fresh survival solo ark but idk what's the best recommended map for it. I don't have the dlc's and I don't plan on getting them so pick one of these four maps.
