A Guide to Infinite Mutation Stacking Posted: 30 Apr 2020 07:16 AM PDT I have already posted this on r/ark but I thought as I made it specifically with console (no mods) in mind, people might find it useful here as well. A dinos base level is determined by all of its stats, from HP to oxygen. • If you tame two level 100 Rexes, they will have different stats. If you breed them, and the baby has inherited the best of the stats, it will be higher than level 100. • Each mutation changes a stat, and gives the dino 2 levels. For this reason, you should begin your breeding circle with a Male and Female(s) with identical stats. • If they are both level 100, the babies will always be level 100, until they get a mutation. The mutant will be level 102. The level 100 are clean. Process:
Keep your original male. If the desired mutation is ever on a female, breed with original male until you get a mutated male to put into the breeding circle. The breeding circle should ALWAYS consist of original females. Only the male gets switched. With this method you can hatch dozens of eggs at once, and easily spot the new mutation. Only 3 levels will be appearing in your hatchery. The female LVL 100 stats, the mutated male LVL 102 stats, or the next mutation, LVL 104. Infinite Mutations • Dinos ancestry will be 0/20 Matrilineal, as the females will always be clean. • The male is the mutated parent, so the mutations on the baby will be pushed onto the patrilineal side. • The NEW mutation can fall on either the Matrilineal side or Patrilineal side at random. If you have reached Matrilineal 0/20 Patrilineal 20/20 You have 50% less of a chance of getting a mutation. Once you get the 21st mutation Matrilineal 1/20 Patrilineal 20/20 When this baby is bred with a clean female, the mutations will shift back to one side. Matrilineal 0/20 Patrilineal 21/20 This means you can stack mutations infinitely. IMPORTANT INFO • NEVER breed mutated dinos with mutated dinos. If you breed a Rex with 2 muts with a Rex with 6 muts, the baby will show 8 mutations, however there will be no stat change. This quickly multiplies, and once they reach above 20 on both sides, are unable to get new mutations. These are "false" mutations. Eg: Matrilineal 82742/20 Patrilineal 9238/20 • Never level or imprint your breeders, you need to be able to see their original stats to avoid confusion. If you do, the babies will come out with the original stats, before you levelled them. • "Clean" means no mutations. • Ensure your original breeding pair have identical stats, so their babies come out with consistent levels. • If the mutation is in movement speed, there will be no stat change. The dino will still gain +2 base level. • There are 6 colour regions, but not all dinos have 6. The mutation has a chance to change one of the colour regions. If it falls on a region the dino does not have, the colour will not change. • Keep lines seperate. If you want to do HP and Melee on rexes, have 2 breeding circles set up. This is because if you attempt to do HP and Melee on the same rex, you will have 8 different level varients of babies appearing, as opposed to 3, slowing your progress down. Varient examples: OG stats, HP+Melee, HP no Melee, Melee no HP, Hp+Melee + new mut. If you want to combine the results of two stat lines, or colours, you may breed a 20 HP mutated rex with a 20 Melee mutated Rex. Once you produce a male and female with the combined stats, you have a breeding pair of your mutated rexes. You can do this at any point in the progress, eg 5 HP 7 Melee. These will be practically useless (see above: keeping lines seperate) in the process for getting new mutations, but can be bred and imprinted for boss fights. [link] [comments]

Starting a New Breeding Line From Mutated Dinos Posted: 30 Apr 2020 05:33 AM PDT I've gotten down the ropes of breeding. I understand how to get mutations and how to stack them properly on the fathers side only, but I've ran into a problem. How do I start a new breeding line from dinos that already have existing mutations?? I raided someone and got some decent theri off them. I wanted to know how I could start a new line with them. Is there a way to delete the mutations from the ancestry log, but keep the stats? The theri's started off with 200 mut on both parents sides, I've moved all the mutations on to one side. The fathers side now has 400+ mutations and mother side has 0/20. Also, I am not sure how many are active mutations because I didn't make the line myself. I am not use to breeding without the base pair, Is that all I am able to do just stack them on one side and breed them with female wild dinos (0/20) and hope for a new mutation? Any advice would be nice! :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Apr 2020 12:42 AM PDT Why do tribes defend their teleporters soo heavily in small tribes. I kind of get it on normal official as you could enable public and let alliances use etc. But in small tribes. Theres no alliances and if you defend a teleporter so heavily im guessing theyre not set to public ? Theyre just scattered aroubd maps by all the big tribes with 20-30 heavies and tek guns all over them [link] [comments]
