What is the best way to solo tame Dino's?

    Posted: 18 Aug 2020 04:07 AM PDT

Hey everyone! Been playing ark for a about a week now and I'm starting to try and tame larger Dino's. Knocking out larger Dino's is easy doing it with a friend but doing it solo is tougher.

What I do when solo taming is to get a bunch of large bear traps, place them down in a straight line with some space in between them, aggro the Dino to run towards me to become trapped and then use tranq darts till it goes unconcious. If you guys have any better ways of solo taming Dino's let me know!

Me and some friends have our own boosted casual pvp cluster consisting of center, island, extinction and a rotating fourth map.

We all work and have at least some degree of a life, so its not terribly competitive. We let each other build up before we pvp as well so its level ground.

Extinction is separated from the other maps in the cluster currently as the other maps were wiped but the one paying for extinction wanted to keep his map.

For those who have jobs and/or a wife and maybe even kids, come enjoy yourself.

    any tips for the center?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 08:48 PM PDT

I just started playing the center with a friend. it's single player with slightly boosted settings. we made a stone house with a forge and only moschops. I have played the island and valguero with a little bit of extinction. what are some good dinos to tame and where are some good base locations?
