[SP] I think I made abberation too hard for myself! Help! Posted: 28 Aug 2020 10:35 AM PDT I started a new character in abberation, forgetting i had x3 dino spawns and damage (i was playing a main on island with x5 loot quality). At first the portal area was empty and found out soon there was no water source anywhere. I went down to the river, then dinos began spawning everywhere. Did fine on my first night without dying, and made a small cabin near the river where it was flattest and was about to wall in when suddenly x4 ravagers came at me and I died! I tried to lure them but i cannot return without getting instagibbed along the way by raptors and basilisks. I gave up and tried to spawn elsewhere but i can't seem to get another foothold because everwhere i spawn, from the portal area to the hard areas, there is like x3-4 raptors or ravagers travelling in packs and sometimes together roaming around just instagibbing me lmao And water really is an issue when i have to get mushrooms and rearm myself and try to scout for a place with a nearby source, only to get ganked again! I tried luring them to karkinos and other herbivores but wow the pack bonus is insane and they end up mowing down everything in the area before i die again its crazy! Holy cow now i made a new character and called it a day after hiding with supplies in the wreckage just below the bridge when exiting the portal to the left. The land is not flat but i think im building with pillars this time... Having said that should i Tone down the difficulty? I mean its fine tbh, but i think abb was designed for a x1 environ because a lot of small predators have pack bonuses. How will you proceed here in a x3 dino x3 environ setting? I mean where would you build a safe haven before grinding to unlock climbing picks? Can i live off of stone water reservoirs in the portal area? The walls here aren't infested with raptors and basilisks are mostly on the bridge leading to the river. I guess the bulk of the spawns all fell down from the upper parts so they congregate in the center. How to Family Share ARK to family member on same PC? Posted: 28 Aug 2020 09:42 AM PDT Bought Ark on Steam. Installed Ark on the computer. Created 2nd steam account. Logged in to 2nd steam account on same computer. Family shared the steam library so that 2nd account can see Ark. Now what? How do you play Ark with the 2nd steam account's ID? Ark Bosses first time solo, looking for some assistance on what tames. Posted: 28 Aug 2020 06:13 AM PDT Never progressed far enough in the game to get up to bosses. But currently playing on a small tribes cluster and im doing well and am able to properly start taming large dinos/breeding.I watched a guide on youtube that used Deinonychus to kill some of the island bosses on gamma. But after reading the comments it seems like it doesn't work.I read a guide saying rexes are always the easiest way to go so I have just tamed my first 140 rex. Wondering now, what stats are bare minimum to solo the spider or ape gamma boss on the isle. How many will I need. How important will an upgraded saddle be Are there any other dinos that do it better for a solo player or nah. ​ Any advice is great, thank you. ​ My end goal is to be able to craft the tek underwater vaccuum things. Breeding Rates / Imprinting QoL Review? Posted: 27 Aug 2020 08:07 PM PDT I know things have vastly improved since the early days, and there have been some changes to some dinos recently but is there any chance of a real breeding review or change of rates? I raised some gigas under 4x recently and tbh it was pretty tedious towards the end - and yes I know you don't have to fully imprint, but we are gamers, we want to achieve the best result possible. Even at 4x it seemed OTT. I just got given some of the latest giga eggs and was pretty excited until I realized it would take 2 weeks to raise them, and ofc I will want to 100% imprint so what with having to cryo a lot due to being careful not to miss an imprint through work, etc, it's probably going to take me at least a month.... pretty depressing. Please consider either increasing rates permanently or perhaps giving more leeway and space for missing some hours in the imprinting, some are very close. Imo it's not gamebreaking to make sure all dinos have around 20% wriggle room (so if done perfectly they would be fully imprinted at 80% grown), especially the ultra long tasks such as giga raising. submitted by /u/MIssWastingTime [link] [comments]
