i woke up to reddit staff email informing all other moderators are removed.

So to the drama most of you will want to read.

we all know i took over 7 months ago but about 2 months ago account derfed came active from 2 years of none and announced in mod mail they was made a discord and invited all /r/ark moderators.

oddly enough, the account /u/gyex was the owner of the discord and handled it all.

this includes firing his entire discord moderator team which i will have our new /r/ark moderator and moderator position discord manager post about this in the upcoming discord post.

my first act was removing all links to the discord owned and ran by the former moderator.

i have been in contact with the former discord moderators of that discord for months after they was purged from that discord.

i personally have no interest in running a discord but i see the community is interested in a discord so a /r/ark has a discord ran by the former moderators.

so let continue.

when staff added me as moderator, this sub reddit was on 6 month probation from removing me from moderator so i couldnt be removed without serious cause,

after that 6 months was up, i was allowed to apply for lead moderator which 1 month before it was up, the discord happened, sadly staff shot me down due to account derfad being active again and holding position as moderator longer.

since i was solo running this and no other moderator had a care about the subreddit but only interested in the title of moderator.

i been desperate to get a moderation team in place and get people who know how the hell to customize a subreddit but i couldnt do that with 2 rogue moderator accounts with unchecked power to throw a wrench into the gears.

i didnt expect the bot account to get me in electrical, what i expected was the user of the 2 accounts to sabotage everything, having the power to bring in new accounts, being a royal pain in the ass and i knew i could have used this scenario to take lead moderator but it wouldnt have been fair to let happen to the community and moderators i brought on.

now that i can dust off the throne and get the oil and rust cleaned up from the bot sitting on it, i will be bringing on people that know how to get this place to something respectable.

once im ready to open applications to get some moderators in place, ill make a separate post on that in a couple of weeks.

i already have discord manager selected and we need to hammer out some details.
