    On Leaving Ark

    After many years of play on two platforms I uninstalled the game yesterday. I didn't rage quit, I just got to the point where the minuses outweigh the pluses.

    I think it's a great game and there's some great people at Wildcard, but every improvement they've made in the past year has resulted in game-breaking side effects.

    The surface of Aberration has been messed up for over a month. Character loss is at an all time high. The server I main on is so unstable it dcs me every five minutes.

    I'm a little bummed about leaving, but I got to the point where logging on was a chore. I could get on to reset timers and that was it.

    Such a great game, it's too bad WC can't fix it.

    Stuttery movements on rafts

    Hi, I have a private server on PC using G-portal and I've encountered an issue with rafts specifically. I noticed that if I build on a raft my movement will become very stuttery and it will be hard to walk/run on the raft if its built on. It seems to get worse the further away I am from the raft but I'm not 100% sure about that. My friend also has this issue.

    Me and my friends were playing pve on the island getting quite far but then this guy with hacks and c4 just exploded our base and killed our dinos and we don't really wanna start over on the island again so is the story gonna be out of context if i play scorched earth next

    Everytime I try to validate my server (update to todays update), the command prompt says the version is 316.28

    I'm new to running a server, but this is what I'm typing in steamcmd

    login anonymous
    force_install_dir D:\ARKServer\
    app_update 346110 validate

    My server was working prior to today's update, this is the first update that has happened since I started the server, and as I'm understanding it I'm doing everything correct. My directory is 100% correct, it's on my D drive, I have the same capitalization, idk if that even matters, and SteamCMD keeps telling me everything is validated, what can I do to fix this? I'm expecting I have to redownload from scratch, but I would really like to not redownload every single time there's and update, my download speed isn't the best

    Quick question

    Sorry if this is a dumb/silly question. My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out what's up with those giant gas ball water things on Crystal Isles in the very top right snow area. They're around the electric crystals. I went into one in creative mode to see what it was ,cause I've never seen anything like it, and it was spammed with fish. Anyone know anything about them? There's tons of them in that area.

    PS4 Solo - difficulty sliders updating

    All I need to know is can I exit to menu, change dino difficulty then go back into my solo server and have dino difficulty updated?

    Its currently default at 0.2, but I now know that 1 is dino max 150 (cant go any higher).

    Only info I can find is for PC, and people are saying to use commands to wipe all dinos out so the new ones that spawn in are updated. Obviously you can't use console commands on console.

    Completed Alpha Corrupted Master Controller but did not get implant

    Today I completed the Alpha Corrupted Master Controller. I received all the engrams skiff etc but did not receive the implant that gives you 15+ levels. Everyone else who did it with me got the implant tho.. Has anyone else had an issue with not getting the implant when completing this?

    Question about servers?

    I'm looking for a good server cluster for PvE that has the regular QoL mods like SS, Dino storage V2, etc., but also something with some of the better decor mods, like additional lights and furniture, etc. Is there anything you guys can recommend? I'm also looking for a tribe because our leader went dormant for a bit. 😭

    Looking for other newbies like myself to play / beat Ark in order -PVE - PC STEAM

    So I decided to call this server home, since it's fairly new

    to join - click on that site, click on connect. there is no password.

    XP rate is double, so it will feel fast early on until you hit 60ish.

    Taming a faster, thanks god, I don't have to babysit for 8 hours. But it's not absurb fst either. triple rate and same for harvesting which i can't compare to vanilla.

    There are few other people but it seems everyone is just doing their own thing. They control Herbivore Island, someone made their home to the west and I am south/south-west by the rocks and small little pseudo-island.

    Love to have some buddies to play with and work toward beating the bosses before moving onto a new map.

    HMU here if you wanna join me so I can be on the look out for you. That server doesnt appear to have a discord
