    A dilemma with lowering Dino food consumption rate vs faster taming. What would you do?

    So I'm mid game. I have maybe 30 tames now, and while I'm crazy about this game, one thing I don't feel like doing is going around and making sure all animals are fed. I have a paranoia that I'm accidentally going to forget I fed a tame and it will die of hunger.

    I realize I can make a feeding trough but here is where my main base is, on the southern shore in the red circle and it's just not a very wide shore. I don't know how I could create a big walled area to keep them safe on this tiny short. If you have ideas on what to do let me know, otherwise I just keep them holding still and go around feeding them.

    Anyway, i turned the taming speed up on my single player game and that's nice, but then I turned the "Dino food consumption rate" all the way to the minimum, 0.01. Still it feels like they eat too often.

    Also, turning the food consumption rate down to 0.01 means taming takes super long (guessing since they don't eat for long).

    So I'm not sure what to do. Do I...

    a) turn tame food consumption back up to .5 ish, so that taming is faster, but I have to run around and feed them all constantly?

    B) leave the tame food consumption down to 0.1 so I don't have to always run around feeding, but then deal with super slow taming process?

    C) after clicckng my link of my map above and seeing where my base is, any idea how I could build a tame keeping area with a trough? It's a long, uneven beach. Can I build it on water? I'd want it to be big. Then, they also wouldn't protect my house so that sucks.

    Really low spawn rates of dinos

    I've been killing off high level dinos but they don't seem to be spawning back in? Anyone know how long I'd have to wait or if there's a fix ?

    Dedicated server hosting

    Did they disable the ability to host a server via a dummy account on a home Xbox? I just tried setting one up and its asking me to get gamepass on the dummy account.

    Torpor with advanced weapons

    So I'm finally getting to the point where I have some ascendant/journeymen crossbows and longneck rifles. I know they will do more damage, but will stronger items also give more torpor more quickly? Want to make sure I'm not accidentally almost killing the Dino's by trying to knock them out with an ascendant crossbow. Thanks all!

    Freezing screen (Series S)

    Not been playing the game too long, single player until I go playing around with the server screen, join a few. And end up changing to player procedural or whatever it is setting and now it keeps freezing before I can change.

    Anybody know how to fix this? If someone was to invite me to a game, would that reset the search parameters for next time?

    • New Single Player/Host Setting: Enable Level Up for Flyer Movement Speed (You can enable the setting on Unofficials by doing the following: adding bAllowFlyerSpeedLeveling=True to the game.ini or -AllowFlyerSpeedLeveling to the commandline)

    This is one of the notes from the latest PC (Steam / Epic) update and so far there is no news about when it will hit consoles, but it's absolutely coming!

    Anyone got a quick crash course of tips and new metas for someone who hasn't played properly since legacy? I have 4000 hours on legacy.

    Basically. I'm back into ark after 4000 hours on legacy servers. So I don't know anything about the new updates or new metas.. I am going to be building with one other person at the moment on a small tribe server to keep it a bit low key..

    The 4000 hours I had was all on pvp I was a big part of all the mega alliance wars on legacy, so was pretty familiar with raiding and pvp. But I'm sure none of that is the same anymore

    Ark server list glitch

    Hi I've never posted anything before so Idrk how yo do this but

    I was looking at some servers and when i came back to the home screen of ark to search for a new server. It just freezes when I go to the server list and it will let me change the map and game mode but it doesnt effect anything, and sometimes it just freezes and I have to restart my game, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so could you tell me how to fix it? thank you. (I use an xbox one if that helps anything)

    Im trying to join an ark server but it either glitches out before i join or when i try to join the ark of my choice it freezes and doesnt do anything, can i get some help?

    Single Player not saving data

    I searched this but only found posts from years ago.

    Yesterday I put a full day into playing was able to leave the game and return where I left off.

    Today when I logged in I was given the Survivor Creation screen. Leading me to believe somehow my data was wiped.

    Started anew this morning and put in about 2 hours before having to leave once more. Laid in the base bed, hit exit to main menu, went back to start up again and... Survivor Creation screen again.

    Idk what to do.

    Edit: So I just tried booting up again and was put into my have from yesterday. What happened to the one I started today when I thought this one was lost? And how do I prevent this confusion again?

    Wyvern eggs/nest

    So I've been playing Ark for awhile now and I've noticed that there is no wyvern eggs and nests spawning at all I've tried all maps where that would be but none of them spawn is this a bug or glitch and if so is there a fix(I'm on Xbox)
