    Welcome to ark... A noobs story

    Well I started playing ark about two weeks ago I picked out a low pop pvp official server. I found a nice cliff after slowly dying my way up to it by spamming sleeping bags. Finally at it's peek and off of noob beach I begun to build a home for myself.

    At first it was a small modest home made of wood. 2x2 barely enough room for a bed and a chest. Yet it was home. Then over the next few days I would collect stone and even find a friendly trike. I soon realized my small modest home would need to grow.

    Changing my home from wood to stone and to have not been eaten in a few days I have started to amass lots of pets a few raptors, a cono and other oddoities my home now a full sized complex with a pet pen and the main insides metal. Feeling brave I decided it was time to tame an Anklosorus and griffin to carry my anke.

    Feeling confident now still having not been eaten in a week I took my 130 cono and 3 raptors to the redwoods to hunt for a anke and Argentavis. What luck! I exclaim! I find a level 50 of each make a quick trap and easily k.o. both of them. I set my raptors and cono to guard mode and set up fires and settle in as I wait for them to be tamed.

    A short hour or two later after fending off sabertooths and hyenas from my new pets over night I then begin the long walk home with my new bird, anke , cono and 3 raptors. Feeling on top of the world and fairly confident I still cautiously head home.

    As we walked slowly as to not loose the anke.. I hear it... A loud roar. I turn around and running up behind us is a red trex. I spam attack for my raptors to defend us as we escape. The trex effortlessly brushes my raptors aside. Still intent on saving my bird and anke I hop off the cono. CHARGE! I YELL!

    With a loud ROAR my cono headbutts into the Rex! Slashing and tearing at it as I hop on the anke and wish the cono hairy good luck in his fight and attempt to escape with the anke and bird. Somehow we managed to get away. My poor raptors and cono dead but home within sight. Then.. I see a rustle in the bushes. Only to turn my head to be met with the jaws of dire bear. The bear easily crushed my anke and bird and myself in one single bite. What a fearsome monster... What a failure...

    Now left with no pets except for a low level trike I sigh as I pull out my stone axe, pick , and spear. What a fearsome game I think and shudder. What a large loss. Yet I will try again.

    A few days later I return with a new cono a cryo pod and quickly knock out a Anklosorus then a bird. I set up defenses and settle in. Again not a hitch in sight. I hear a roar! A level 20 rex. Easily I knock that out ! Oh what luck! Another tame for me. Only to see in the distance the lights of my other tame camp go out. Quickly I put some meat on the knocked out rex to get back to camp.

    As I arrive I see hyenas that got around my wooden spiked wall somehow. Feasting on my bird and anke. Quickly I yell at to the cono to eat them alive! He complies happily..

    Well at least I got the Rex right? So I head back to the sleeping rex only to see as I arrive that damn piece of shit red rex eating my sleeping rex. I quickly turn to run. Yelling at my cono faster! Run faster!

    It's to no avail! The red rex catch's us and eats us. It's another total loss can't even get backpack back. Again losing all my tames to a weird series of events.

    Now feeling a bit defeated I'll take a break and try again tomorrow. Just thought It would be fun to share this story with you all! Thanks for reading!
