| An honest review of the first day of Gen 2, from a pvp'ers viewpoint. Quick and short. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 11:48 PM PDT First off, this I believe will be one of the best PvE maps available. Secondly, there are a bunch of nice flat spaces for tribes to build on. Thirdly, the r variant dinos look amazing. Sadly though that's about all I have positive to say about it. If you are going to hand out free tek suits that don't require element to run, you could at least remove the ability for those things to damage stone structures. Without ven the basic ability to harvest x plants it turns pvp into nothing but a right click frenzy of punching walls. Even when you do repel attackers they can just superman back....naked(aside from the free tek suit) without any repercussions.....infinitely. Me, my wife and 1 friend repelled naked raiders 4 times before they finally wore us down on bed cool downs and just willy nilly broke in with nothing but that tek suit. Another thing, which brainiac thought it would be a good idea to remove 95% of the way to get cementing paste. There's not even a lot of bugs to harvest chitin from. We also have no oil.....at all except for the off chance of getting lucky to get it in a supply drop. No veins or rocks. Supply drops or trilo's are the only ways so far that I've seen. Pearls......I've seen like 2 dozen of them randomly placed in water. And why in thee hell does the hexagon shop only have engrams to purchase when supply crates are dropping tek items? None of this is balanced in the slightest. There's no way to efficiently defend your base when everyone already has tek weapons and can donkey punch their way into your base in less than 5 seconds. You want to keep the resources the way they are on the map, that's fine, but at the bare minimum please remove the ability for a lvl 1 char to hulk smash his way into a stone base within the first 3 seconds of spawning in. | Posted: 04 Jun 2021 01:04 PM PDT So after buying the genesis seasonpass, my levels got reset (free mindwipe?), and ALL drops have primite stuff quality, even red drops, cave drops and deep sea lootcrates. Don't think it has to do with what map since I have checked on both rag and val, only prim stuff, I'm playing singleplayer and I haven't messed with the lootquality option. I tried to verify gamefiles but still nothing. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]  | ||

Now that it is 'finished' and I want to pick it up, what part do I start playing in? Is there an overarching story through all the maps, so I should start at the beginning? | Genesis 2 Singleplayer spawning with infinitestats Posted: 04 Jun 2021 07:39 AM PDT So I just started playing Genesis 2 single player...and for some reason the game is defaulting me to having infinitestats turned on. Every time I respawn I am invulnerable again, and then if I toggle god mode and infinitestats a few times through console it will go back to normal...until I die, and then Im back to being invulnerable. (Testing by trying to drain stamina or punching trees...no stats decrease through any action, so appears to be infinitestats) I cant find any setting that would cause this, and it has never happened before. Does anyone have any ideas on how to turn this off? Im not using any mods other than Super Structures and Lethals Reusables, nothing that should cause this. [link] [comments]  | ||

My girlfriend who has a family share account couldnt log in to our unofficial servers since yesterday after the Gen2 update.
